Shooting this set of Chisa cosplay (Maid outfit from Wuthering Waves) was conceived entirely around a vintage study setting. The set primarily featured wooden bookshelves, a stepladder, and a green leather chair, with afternoon sunlight filtering through Venetian blinds to cast textured stripe shadows across the wall—an ambiance ideally suited for this brown-toned costume. During the shoot, I experimented with various Photo poses: for example, Photo 1 climbing the ladder and looking back, Photo 2 holding a teacup seated at the desk corner, Photo 3 sitting on the desk crossing legs to highlight calf lines, and Photo 4 a full-body shot standing by the fireplace.

In terms of costume details, there were layered ruffles paired with red straps across the chest, delicate floral embroidery on the white apron, along with a brown pouch and a teddy bear pendant, making the details exceptionally rich. The elastic material of the White stockings, combined with chunky-heeled leather shoes, sculpted the leg lines beautifully when striking poses, while crouching and seated angles maximized the side lighting from the blinds. Participating in the Wuthering Waves Creator Incentive Program made me especially mindful of light control and post-processing color grading, keeping this set strictly within a warm, nostalgic vintage tone.

During shooting, I constantly had to adjust the hair flow and skirt folds because the multi-layered skirt could easily look bulky if the seating posture wasn't right. Posing on the ladder required balance, utilizing the ladder's incline to distribute my center of gravity so the posture remained poised and upright. Sitting on the desk utilized natural drape to let the skirt spread out effortlessly for a relaxed feel. Pairing a vintage castle-like study with an animal-eared Maid outfit created a striking visual contrast. For all these photos, compositions were framed so the subject was never marginalized, keeping positioning mostly centered.

For hair and makeup, pairing red contacts and straight black hair with a red hair ribbon looked radiant under soft lighting. The eyeliner was slightly elongated, which, blended with blush, maintained facial dimension from both profile and frontal angles. Post-processing color tones focused on preserving the subdued warmth of the woodwork and the clear translucency of skin, balancing highlights and shadows for greater visual depth. This shoot provided valuable experience in utilizing natural light indoors—such as using blind shadows to add depth and employing diverse seated or standing Photo poses to accentuate garment layering. I hope these insights offer some practical Photo poses inspiration for fans of this vintage maid aesthetic.
