Taking advantage of the rainy atmosphere today, I put together a custom-styled concept for Firefly, wanting to shoot something with a different everyday feel. Seeing the reflections on the wet roadside street, the first phrase that popped into my head was "It's raining, which means you can think of me." This time, instead of wearing the original heavy armor, I paired a loose light blue plush knit sweater with a white lace stand-collar shirt underneath, hoping to present a softer, more down-to-earth state. Since it's a custom self-styled coordinate, there will inevitably be some personal interpretation, so I apologize in advance if anything lacks accuracy.
The texture of the clothing is quite noticeable in the photos; the fuzzy feel of the sweater looks especially warm under the lights of a rainy night. The headwear retains the iconic grayish-green feather hairpiece and gray plaid bow headband, and the wig was chosen in a light gold with a grayish-pink tint, styled into natural gentle waves. Makeup focused heavily on enlarging the eyes, using purple contact lenses, and a distinct aegyo-sal / lower eyelid expansion line to fit the two-dimensional style. In terms of makeup details, to match the overall tone, a glossy orange-red lip tint was used, and warm-toned eyeshadow was chosen to maintain a healthy complexion even under the overcast rainy day light.
It had just finished raining when we shot; the road surface was gleaming, and the background shop signs and traffic lights acted as a backdrop, maxing out the atmospheric vibe. Later, we moved indoors where it was much warmer and ordered a table full of cute-looking desserts. The ice cream dessert wearing a black witch hat was truly eye-catching; paired with black bat wings and small ghost decorations, it looked just like a prop straight out of an anime, making it extremely photogenic when held. There was also a casserole dish of sausages with tomato sauce, rich in flavor when wrapped in thin pancakes. For the drink, I chose the pink-orange cup, and the color matched the day's makeup quite well.
Sitting next to the wooden dining table with warm yellow light shining down, I felt completely relaxed. Over-the-knee white stockings paired with light brown short boots formed a contrast with the loose sweater on the upper body, making the overall look much more breezy and nimble. While taking photos, I deliberately adjusted my sitting posture, crossing my legs to lengthen the leg lines in front of the lens and slightly showcase the layering of the outfit. Actions like holding a plate or using a fork to eat were all meant to make the frame more interactive and less rigid, like spending a relaxed weekend with friends. In the street-side photo, because the wind was a bit strong, my hair got blown up slightly, which instead added a touch of dynamic beauty. This time, trying to blend a two-dimensional styling into everyday streetscapes and restaurants—I wonder how everyone thinks it turned out. In fact, every custom coordinate is an experiment, hoping to find another possibility for the character in different settings. The rain is still falling; I wonder what the weather is like over on your side.
