The first thing that struck me upon receiving this Cinderella swimsuit from Goddess of Victory: Nikke was the unique nature of its material. Unlike the cotton or chiffon fabrics often worn during outdoor shoots, this pure white form-fitting one-piece bodysuit has extraordinary stretch and reflectivity, demanding a flawless, snug fit against the body's curves. To achieve that wrinkle-free finish in the photos, dressing and adjusting took nearly half an hour alone. Being an indoor pool setting, I did plenty of homework beforehand.

Let's start with the hair and makeup. Water vapor and moisture are the biggest challenges during indoor pool shoots, so the base makeup had to be bulletproof, locked in with multiple coats of setting spray. For eye makeup, to align with the anime aesthetic, a generous sweep of reddish eyeshadow was blended out and paired with richly pigmented contacts in the same color scheme. The wig is silver-gray; the thickness and layering of the front bangs required meticulous cutting and styling, or they would easily lose shape near the water with the slightest breeze.

The garment design is striking, with the glossy black straps across the chest and waist serving as clear visual anchors. This patent-leather-like finish produces intense glare under illumination, so adjusting the key light took considerable time—balancing exposure so the white fabric wouldn't clip while preventing the black straps from casting harsh, blinding reflections. The high-cut silhouette combined with black thigh straps, white long gloves, and a heart-ring choker made the black-and-white color blocking exceptionally eye-catching, while the sunglasses perched on top of the head served as a vital styling accent.

We staged the shoot by the poolside. The backdrop featured gray stone masonry and green mosaic tiles, with deep-green pool water providing a magnificent cool-toned background that accentuated the pristine cleanliness of the white garment. Posing in the water was genuinely challenging; in the second shot with my lower body submerged, water resistance was intense, requiring sustained core engagement to maintain balance and graceful posture.

The posing was guided entirely by the cut of the garment. Photo one utilized a profile glance-back angle, accentuating the sweeping curve from back to hips encased in the bodysuit, with subtle bokeh flare effects added to the edges to enhance a dreamy atmosphere. Photo two opened the arms toward the camera to fully showcase the crisscrossed chest strap details; this stance required relaxed shoulders and an upright spine to radiate visual tension. Photo three seated me by the pool's edge with legs crossed to the side—a posture that contoured leg lines through visual elongation while allowing a hand casually touching the sunglasses to inject an effortless, laid-back charm.

To ensure top-tier shot quality, we paused frequently to readjust the costume, as form-fitting materials easily shift out of place after repeated crouching and standing. In post-processing, focus was placed on enhancing overall clarity and refining contrast to elevate the luster of the white bodysuit while preserving authentic skin texture. Although the shoot was physically demanding, seeing the interplay of light and shadow in the final images made every preparation and adjustment completely worthwhile.
