Seeking a long-term TFP shoot in Chongqing photography circles! I am based in Huaxi, Banan. Since this is outside the main urban core, I'm temporarily not looking to connect with photographers based outside the central districts unless you drive, or don't mind taking the monorail and buses—I will cover your transit fares, and I'll also cover studio rental costs if studio work is needed. I moved back to Chongqing less than six months ago after being based in Fujian, and I am a relatively low-profile cosplayer portraying Anime girl styles. My biggest headache lately is that I simply have no room left at home to store costumes, plus I enjoy experimenting with hair and makeup. Taking advantage of some free time, I'd love to experience the photographic styles and post-processing aesthetics of seasoned local Chongqing photographers.
While my portfolio preview photos look decent, I must be completely upfront: I struggle with appearance anxiety. I tend to look heavier on camera, and double chins and facial flaws become fairly noticeable. I belong to the category of having pleasant features that don't hold up under hyper-detailed scrutiny. If you are chasing flawless, 3D-modeled doll-like faces, I might really not be a good fit, and it's best not to waste your time. When shooting with friends, I much prefer candid snapshots over rigid, posed shots—natural, unforced moments often produce the most photogenic results. My joints and bones aren't great; holding a specific posture for prolonged periods makes my limbs ache terribly, so the range of dynamic poses I can hold is limited. However, I will do my best to accommodate your creative vision as a photographer and look up reference poses beforehand. Capturing the general mood and ambiance is plenty—exact replication isn't necessary, as copying poses verbatim looks stiff.
Back in Fujian, I had an experience with an outdated camera where the resulting photos were not only blurry but completely unusable throwaways. I was literally brought to tears and still paid 200 RMB out of pocket. Remembering that still leaves me unsettled, so for photographers inquiring about a TFP shoot, please be sure to let me know your camera body model. Please also share the styles you excel at—whether studio shoots, outdoor locations, or both. Communicating plans in advance avoids unnecessary shoot disasters. My post-production partner is very dependable, and our works are co-created between us. After shooting, you can send me unedited files directly in both JPG and RAW formats: JPG so I can pick selects, and RAW for my retoucher to edit. My turnaround time for finished photos rarely exceeds two weeks.
Additionally, I want to emphasize that I am definitely not looking for a free ride. To every photographer collaborating with me on a TFP shoot, I will gift my own thoughtfully designed Original merchandise—including badges, stickers, keychains, and rotating acrylic stands, all featuring artwork drawn by me. I recently resigned from my job due to illness and currently have no income, so the roster of characters I can currently cosplay is limited; I can't tackle every character I love within a single month. Starting after this September, I can consistently schedule shoots. However, outdoor shoots are tough because I honestly dislike having to spray sunscreen in Chongqing's weather, so I heavily lean toward studio shoots. I hope we can maintain mutual respect and proactive communication like friends, creating satisfying works together while serving as a collaborative platform to exchange photography and post-processing insights.
