This set of client photos for Huohuo cosplay is finally organized. As a ghost-hunting exorcist constantly teased by her tail in Honkai: Star Rail, her contrasting personality traits were my core motivation for cosplaying her. To capture Huohuo's state of being timid yet forced to bite the bullet and push forward, we treated makeup, styling, and wig work with great care. The mint-green wig paired with a dark blue short-brimmed hat and iconic bangs stays as close to the original work as possible. The costume itself integrates many Chinese-style and Taoist elements, such as the Taiji Yin-Yang pendant on her chest and the golden bells hanging at her waist—both signature accessories of a ghost-catching exorcist.

The most distinctive accessory of the entire outfit is, of course, the fluffy blue-green plush tail behind me. Although Huohuo is a judge often scared half to death by her Tail (a Heliobus), this tail certainly enhances the character's adorable softness. For the lower half, a dark blue skirt adorned with cloud patterns was paired with loose white slouch socks, green leg garters, and ribbon ties—forming a crisp White thigh-highs outfit that showcases leg lines while fitting her fantasy-infused Anime cosplay girl setting. The dark flat shoes unified the blue-green color scheme. The triangular ritual banner prop in hand was meticulously crafted by the prop team early on; geometric symbols and golden borders on the banner surface give the staff a strong sense of weight.

As for the shooting plan, we experimented with three distinct scene atmospheres this time. The first night rooftop scene featured a huge full moon backdrop, osmanthus branches, and two white rabbit plushies at my side; this composition creates a cool, ethereal moonlight atmosphere reminiscent of an Eastern fantasy story. The second photo was completed under green lighting effects at night, where eerie green ambient light cast upon the character highlighted her mysterious exorcist vibe. However, in terms of composition and display effect, the third solid-color studio shot is actually the most suitable for the cover photo. Before a clean light blue background, a seated pose with both hands extending forward holding the staff clearly presents costume details and colors, while nicely displaying the white socks and leg styling—placing the character dead center for a concentrated visual focus free from cluttered distractions.

Regarding personality interpretation, Huohuo's most charming aspect is her timid demeanor as she tries her hardest to hold her ground. During the shoot, I constantly adjusted my facial expressions to maintain a restrained look of being "slightly frightened yet afraid to lash out." Her interaction with Tail is also full of drama; that line in the post, "I told you to say hello, not say goodbye!", perfectly fits her tsundere, banter-loving Tail lore. Huohuo's own lines are also full of memorable memes—always wanting to retreat, yet constantly being pushed forward. Recreating such a fun character through Anime cosplay and feeling her resilient core underneath a fragile exterior was a truly enjoyable experience. The synergy among costume, props, makeup, and venue went smoothly in this shoot, and I hope everyone can feel the charm of this HoYoLAB fan content work!
