Cosplaying Huohuo this time required a great deal of thoughtful preparation, especially with hair and makeup. What captivates me most about Huohuo is that aggrieved, on-the-verge-of-tears look she has while still doing her absolute best at work. Because of this, the entire makeup look centered heavily on the eyes. To achieve that watery, innocent gaze, I specifically picked vibrant green colored contacts with soft edges. For eye makeup, I applied a generous wash of soft pink as the base, subtly smoking out the lower lash line and aegyo sal to accentuate a slight redness around the corners of the eyes—evoking that delicate, freshly cried look. Instead of dense false lashes, I opted for wispy, individual clusters to keep the eyes looking wide, lively, and expressive.

As for the wig, styling this pale mint-green piece demanded serious patience. The blunt bangs had to be trimmed to the exact millimeter—neither too bulky nor too sparse, lightly skimming the brow line without poking into the eyes. The curved side locks framing the cheeks were adjusted over and over to sculpt the facial silhouette naturally. The two ear-like hair tufts atop the crown were another crucial focus; using a touch of holding spray and styling wax kept them perked up nicely while feathering out the fluffy edges for an organic finish.

The wardrobe boasts rich, intricate layers: the color blocking of mint green and deep navy accented with structured gold ornaments genuinely embodies that distinct Xianzhou aesthetic once worn. I especially adore the taiji talisman charm on the chest and the navy blue hat adorned with intricate white talismans. The spirit-talisman prop in hand is essentially a wooden stick tied with white fabric; during the shoot, I kept fine-tuning my grip and angle, trying to project a dignified, authoritative stance, though deep down she's still very much a timid crybaby.

While posing, I was constantly channeling that timid, shy gaze. Most postures involved clasping my hands tight against my chest, lightly cupping my chin, or subtly curling inward with a vacant, bewildered look or a slight pout. In shot 4, where I'm nibbling on a snack, the goal was to showcase that adorable contrast of recharging energy amidst a stressful work shift.

Even though Mr. Tail wasn't physically in the frame, I was constantly imagining him nagging away beside me during the shoot—that dynamic is just so endearing! The entire shoot went smoothly, and I'm genuinely thrilled with how this makeup and styling turned out. Getting into character for someone you adore and exploring their subtle nuances is always such a joy. I'm so pleased with this set—from the makeup details to the garment textures, it completely fulfilled my vision. I hope everyone feels Huohuo's unique charm: that quiet spark of courage shining through her fear.
