[Acheron Cosplay] Playing Honkai: Star Rail's Red-Bladed Heroine at the CP32 Anime Convention

The Acheron Cosplay I brought to the CP32 Anime Convention this time was a set I spent a lot of thought preparing, from costume to props. I had always wanted to try a character with a cold, killer edge, and since this outfit flatters the figure so well, I took advantage of the crowded convention to shoot a great set.

First, regarding the costume: the black shiny bustier on the upper body is one of the visual highlights of the whole outfit. The white flame pattern on it heavily tested printing craftsmanship. Being a tight-fitting design, it demanded good physical shape, so I specifically did some shaping prep work before wearing it. The red petal neck ornament and black criss-cross straps beautifully highlighted my neckline. The lower half features matching shorts, but the most crucial piece is the gray outer robe. It needed a flowing drape, while its red, white, and black flame lining had to match the top. When striking dynamic poses, a gust of wind or a quick spin reveals the red inner lining of the coat hem, instantly boosting visual richness.

Moving on to accessories and hair/makeup: long silver-white hair and red pupils are the soul of the character. This time, I chose a matte-textured white wig, styled into clearly defined long straight hair. The curve of the bangs was trimmed meticulously step-by-step; putting it on made my face shape look far more refined. For the red eyes, I used large-diameter contact lenses. Combined with a light base makeup and slightly sharp eye/brow lines, the cold aura immediately took shape. The long red gloves on my arms had great texture, but personally, the finishing touch was the battle-damage effect across my body—especially the red blood-scratch artwork on my abdomen and thighs, along with black totem markings on my legs. These details ensured the character wasn't merely pretty, but felt like she had truly endured battle, blending sexiness with a hint of dangerous allure.

As for props, this massive illuminated long sword was definitely the centerpiece. The red fluorescent effect along the blade remained strikingly visible even during daylight at the outdoor convention, drawing the eyes of many passersby. But holding it was genuine physical labor; during full-body shots—especially the pose raising the sword high above my head in the second picture—the strain on my deltoids and core was intense. To deliver the best result, I held my breath while shooting. Luckily, the photographer was fast, capturing phenomenal timing and lighting in the final shot. The pairing of the sword and boots was also crucial: black thigh-high high-heeled boots visually lengthened my legs, anchoring the entire outfit with commanding presence.

The shooting environment at CP32 Anime Convention was quite complex, with typical steel truss structures, white canopy roofs, and bustling crowds in the background. Because the background was bright with excellent diffuse lighting, the photographer deliberately used a wide aperture to blur the background, preserving the lively and realistic convention vibe without making the shot feel cluttered.

Walking around as Acheron during the convention brought a lot of unexpected attention. Taking photos with cosplayers at conventions and meeting fans was really fun; some fans shouted character lines or asked me to strike sword-slashing poses for their shots. I adjusted my posture based on their composition to best present the character's aloof and domineering charisma. For me, cosplaying such popular characters tests my makeup and photoshoot skills while serving as a fantastic way to connect with the fan community offline. The outfit's texture under changing light performed amazingly, making every bit of preparation effort well worth it.
