Bringing out this Lilith cosplay for convention photos at the Liangya Anime Convention with this combination of a leather jacket outfit and a giant greatsword truly satisfied my urge to embody a dark Onee-san cosplay. For the wig, I picked long curly hair with a silver-white base fading into a pink gradient, with the pink tips echoing the jacket's pink lapels nicely. The black horns and pointed ears on top were crucial to the look; once worn, the character's inhuman aura immediately surfaced. The green contact lenses were also key, making my gaze look razor-sharp when paired with the facial makeup.
Choosing the fabric for the leather jacket outfit took a long time; I deliberately went with a weathered, distressed texture to bring out an authentic battle-worn realism in the photos. The black straps and metal buckles across the chest and waist not only added a tactical feel, but also cinched the waistline visually. For the lower half, I paired black shorts with combat boots, while the bat-wing thigh ring and snake tattoo stickers on my thighs were subtle touches to enhance both character sexiness and detail.
The prop greatsword was where the most effort went into creating this look. The blade is massive, painted with a gradient transition from black to bright pink at the tip, and the crossguard features sharp spikes, rings, and even a small hanging black cage. The sword was quite heavy; when finding open spots at the convention to shoot, holding it up one-handed required immense core strength. The photographer, Qiu Yu, was great at capturing candid dynamic shots. In the first shot lifting the sword with one hand, my arm actually began aching within moments, but for the final shot, I kept my expression composed to maintain that fierce, "let the slaughter begin" dominant presence.
The lighting at the convention was chaotic, and the background crowd was thick. To capture a clean, pure aesthetic, we found a relatively open corner, using a wide aperture and telephoto focal length to blur out the cluttered crowds and ambient lights. As the light hit my body, the sheen of the leather jacket was showcased to perfection. The third and fourth full-body photos standing with the sword beautifully highlighted the leg lines of the entire outfit. Resting such a heavy greatsword upright in front of me required finding the exact center of gravity while tilting my body slightly to exude an effortless, nonchalant coolness.
I usually cosplay sweet and cute characters more often, so taking on Lilith this time—from the heavy texture of the outfit to the intensity of my gaze—was an entirely fresh experience. The all-black attire accented with bright pink created strong visual impact, aligning perfectly with that dangerous yet captivating character tone from Chaldea in Fate/Grand Order. Reviewing the raw convention photos right after shooting, I already loved them, and the post-processing preserved the leather jacket's texture and the cool-gray environmental tones as much as possible. After a full day at the anime convention, though exhausting, connecting and creating photos with so many wonderful peers made the entire experience deeply rewarding.
