Recreating the Ultramarine combat gear was the aspect I poured the most energy into for this set. Choosing to do a Beatrix cosplay was entirely due to that peculiar sense of contrast—being labeled as 'the quietest woman in the Sky Realm.' When I first met 'Bea' in the game's story, I was deeply captivated by her serene gaze and effortless composure. The line 'do you dare stare into her eyes for one second?' is truly a reflection of her soul. Her quietness isn't just a personality trait; it's the calm confidence of a true powerhouse. So when conceptualizing this Anime cosplay, I wanted to infuse that calm, resolute, yet imposing aura into every single detail.

Let's talk about the specific components of this outfit, which were the core focus of the photos. The blue top paired with dark metallic armguards is waist-baring yet far from delicate, with the glowing core at the chest serving as the visual focal point of the upper body. To ensure this core emitted a soft, translucent glow under studio lights, we carefully adjusted the light permeability of the chest material and embedded micro-LED devices to achieve a naturally radiant effect during Cosplay photography.

Crafting the greatsword was another top priority. Bea's weapon is not only long but also carries significant weight. The vast expanse of vibrant blue on the blade contrasted with golden jagged edges creates a striking texture under light and shadow. Holding this massive sword with one hand during the shoot heavily tested my arm control. To faithfully convey the character's effortless strength in swinging a greatsword single-handedly, I prepared physical endurance beforehand and repeatedly adjusted my center of gravity before shooting, avoiding showing any 'heaviness' in my expression or pose.

The leg armor emphasizes power and clean lines more than any other part of this ensemble. Deep black metallic greaves paired with gold trim and signature blue accents showcase a high-tension aesthetic. When selecting angles, the photographer gave special attention to accentuating leg contours. Combined with the dynamic movement of the cape and hair, the entire silhouette balances a warrior's hardcore edge with a female character's grace.

Speaking of dynamic movement, the actual shoot turned out to be much more fun than expected. Although it was a studio shoot, to replicate the airy motion of wind blowing through hair and cape, we set up multiple electric fans. During the session, managing facial expressions while ensuring hair and cape fluttered in a unified direction alongside a balanced grip on the sword required precise on-site coordination. What looks like an effortless snapshot actually took meticulous staging.

Regarding character makeup, the key was capturing her 'authoritative without anger' expression. It shouldn't be overly sweet, nor excessively fierce—just an aura of pure, confident composure. Thus, the eye makeup avoided sharp eyeliner, relying instead on natural light tones to complement translucent iris colors. High ponytail styling tied with blue ribbon accessories gave the static look a surge of vibrant motion.

Because the original character design is packed with complex elements—from the skirt-like cape to intricate leg armor and that iconic massive weapon—details can easily look bulky or like a stage costume if handled carelessly. We invested immense effort upfront sorting out costume layering and stitching, paying special attention to weathering metallic parts and deburring edges so it appeared like genuine Light armor and longsword gear seasoned by battle rather than a pristine display prop.

All in all, this photoshoot wasn't just about putting on an outfit; it felt like an intimate dialogue with the character's inner world. Recreating that serene 'quietest in the Sky Realm' demeanor was a fantastic exercise for my physical expression. I hope this Granblue Fantasy: Relink set conveys my dedication to both the character and equipment crafting!
