This time, I brought the Human Koi outfit from JX3's Seven Blossoms sect to an outdoor lakeside spot right in the heart of the city. The ensemble features rich layering; the sheer pink chiffon catches natural sunlight with stunning translucency, though it snagged easily on wild blades of grass outdoors. The golden filigree ornaments on the shoulders and waist carry substantial weight, requiring extensive internal fastening to prevent slipping. Strands of white pearls and celadon beads draped along my arms and waist chimed with delicate clinks with every step. For hair, I went with sleek, straight black locks, securing forehead wisps with hairspray and pairing them with a pearl brow ornament and floral drop earrings. Eye makeup deepened with reddish blending at the outer corners to complement the rosy palette of the garments. In hand were two crimson folding fans trimmed with exquisite tassels and charms, their leaves adorned with white hot-stamped gold foil motifs. Because the design calls for bare feet, stepping directly onto the turf and damp soil felt slightly prickly at first, but once adjusted, it felt delightfully grounded, allowing my toes to grip the earth securely for various fluid dance and extension moves.
Shooting beside the lake, construction cranes and modern glass curtain walls rose behind me, contrasting starkly with the reed marshes and meadows underfoot. This clash of environments made the outfit stand out even more distinctively. To convey the Seven Blossoms' signature grace and agility, I continuously twirled across the lawn with arms fully extended, adjusting the two red folding fans to ensure both the fan faces and hemlines unfurled in graceful arcs. Because the fabric is whisper-light, every gust sent it billowing, which also meant it tangled easily, needing smoothing every few takes. The photographer constantly helped align the drapery to achieve the most fluid, windblown elegance. Through this process, I learned how to use the fans to guide the viewer's gaze and maintain poise before the lens. While this attire hardly allows casual, carefree movement, its enchanting allure lies precisely in the stately grandeur born of that constriction. Concealing half the face behind dual fans or glancing back over one shoulder with a raised fan required tight core control to preserve an upright posture.
Today was supposed to be a regular workday, with thoughts of constant corporate hustle still lingering in my mind, yet here I was living as a Human Koi in the real world. Stepping out of modern high-rises and straight into classical wuxia, curious glances from passersby made me slightly self-conscious at first, but the moment I slipped into character, it felt like being transported directly into the virtual realm. The garment is dense with details—from the embroidery on the waist sash to the armlets on the wrists, every millimeter deserves close-up admiration. Braving the blazing sun while remaining constantly vigilant against tree branches snagging the delicate silk was tough, but previewing the unretouched RAW frames made every single second worth it. Exhausted and sore afterward, I treated myself to KFC's Crazy Thursday, channeling all my workday exhaustion into creative fuel. The physical fatigue melted away the second I bit into the fried chicken. Bringing a virtual character into 3D reality demands immense energy to polish styling and movement, yet the resulting sense of fulfillment is overwhelmingly profound. I hope to join more JX3 offline event shoots like this, exploring the fresh thrill of character roleplay across diverse settings.
