[Heir of the Hua Family cosplay] The Moonlit Oath Convention Chronicle: Fun & Shenanigans

Yesterday, I attended The Moonlit Oath only convention as the Heir of the Hua Family cosplay. Grooming hair and makeup began early in the morning—smoothing down flyaway wig strands strand by strand, tweaking eye makeup angles to channel the character's demeanor, and anchoring every metal accessory firmly in place so nothing would detach amidst packed convention crowds. Upon arrival, the floor was brimming with passionate fans; working alongside convention staff was effortless, making for a truly memorable event.

The most delightful surprise was bumping into senior brother Hua Chen along the way. What started as a casual greeting quickly spiraled as this senior brother brought his innate comedic charm along; once together, our style completely derailed into pure silliness, leaving us grinning uncontrollably all afternoon. Halfway through, we pulled in Xuan Wangjun to kick off our classic routine of teasing big brother. Photos 3 and 4 capture these moments vividly: starting with a finger-heart pose where a certain elder brother sprouted a fiery red comic anger mark over his head, followed by a group shot where we had him stand off to the side with arms crossed looking aloof, while Xuan Wangjun and I huddled close in our cloaks—that brooding, aggrieved glare of his was priceless. We kept bursting into laughter between takes; capturing this comedic contrast was entirely thanks to everyone's wonderful synergy.

The convention's staging and lighting were top-notch, highly conducive to great photos. This attire showed off rich texture under the lights; though the trousers and boots restricted mobility slightly, the finished aesthetic was well worth it. Posing with the lotus flower prop framed neatly against the lattice windows in the backdrop created a wonderfully clean composition. Huge thanks to the organizers for providing such a great venue and to the staff for their tireless crowd control.

We also recorded plenty of hilarious video clips packed with expressive presence, capturing all sorts of contrasting daily banter. Everyone cooperated enthusiastically to pull off the bits, yielding results that exceeded expectations. I'm currently editing the footage and will post it for everyone once it's organized. This convention trip was an absolute blast—exchanging character insights with fellow fans, doing makeup touch-ups for each other, and bringing home an abundance of joy.
