This time, I chose the Jiulong Lake Bald Cypress forest for a cosplay location shoot. The warm autumn light blends incredibly well with this redwood forest. During the preparations, I discussed it with the photographer @Ju Zipi. We wanted to capture Hoshino's casual daily vibe, so I picked this autumn outfit featuring a sweater paired with a khaki short skirt. When the sunlight filtered through the treetops, the backlit hair strands and the halo effect over my head actually came out even better than expected. However, the light changes very quickly during outdoor shoots. The sunlight between 3 and 4 PM is the softest, but we had to hurry; after shooting for about two hours, the lighting became completely different.

The details of this costume from Blue Archive are very well done. The strands of the wig have a beautiful translucent feel under the sun, and the textures of the side straps on the overall shorts and the waist bag are highly accurate. During the shoot, I was quite worried that the long ponytail would be messed up by the wind, but fortunately, the breeze wasn't strong, and we caught a few snapshots of the hair flowing naturally. Excellent camera spots can be found along both the walkways and the lakeside here at Jiulong Lake, and the set taken by the water has very rich layers of light and shadow. As a cosplayer who frequently does outdoor shoots, I feel that photos taken in this kind of natural light environment are actually much more vivid than studio shoots. The photographer's composition was also very thoughtful, not ignoring the environment just to highlight the person, but leaving room for the depth of the bald cypresses as well. Autumn is truly perfect for shooting themes with such warm color tones. This location choice didn't disappoint, and everyone gave great feedback on the final results.
