[Elysia Cosplay] Honkai Impact 3rd: Elysia, Lunar Grace — Gathering for the Mid-Autumn Festival

Today's shoot features Elysia, Lunar Grace, coinciding with the Mid-Autumn Festival and the 10th anniversary of Honkai Impact 3rd—a festive design perfectly suited for the occasion. The costume's palette centers on pink and white, accented with abundant golden embroidery and metal embellishments. The top begins with a pink tube base adorned with intricate golden curves and white plush pom-poms, layered under a white wide-sleeved shawl edged with gold-threaded heart motifs. A broad red sash wraps the waist, draped with dangling golden chains and crimson tassels that create a graceful flow with every step. The skirt uses lightweight fabric in a soft gradient of white to pink; its high side slits beautifully frame the leg line in seated poses, visually elongating overall proportions when paired with golden leg rings.

Styling the wig proved quite challenging. The pink-and-white gradient hair needed airy volume, while the two high looped buns on top, paired with golden floral leaves and pom-pom hair accessories, demanded meticulous pinning. To align with her elven motif, I put on pointed elf ears paired with blue contact lenses and soft pinkish eye makeup to refine my facial contours. A metallic choker with a ruby-like pendant serves as one of the visual focal points. For props, I held an openwork gold fan that gleamed with metallic texture under studio lights, finished with long tassels falling from the handle. To highlight different facets of this costume, I alternated between two distinct poses: a standing shot holding the fan aloft with chin tilted slightly to emphasize front details and dignified poise, and a seated pose reclining slightly on a low couch with one leg raised and arm extended, showcasing the skirt's rich layers while lending spatial depth to the composition.

The set was styled with dark wooden latticework, pink floral branches, and warm-toned lighting to cultivate a rich festival ambiance. Throughout the shoot, reflector angles required careful monitoring: because the fabric has a subtle sheen, harsh lighting would easily overexpose the white shawl and wash out fine embroidery, making soft, diffused lighting essential. Beside the fan, I added a small white bunny accessory resting beside me in the second shot to inject playful charm. With so many accessories on the wig, frequent adjustments between takes were necessary to prevent the gold ornaments from looking cluttered. The skirt's lightweight fabric also tended to bunch when sitting, requiring painstaking arrangement to spread it out into an elegant silhouette.

From smoothing the costume and positioning props to refining poses, every stage of this shoot was calibrated for overall visual harmony. Bringing Elysia's outfit fully to life for the Mid-Autumn Festival while honoring the milestone of the Honkai Impact 3rd 10th anniversary made this an immersive, deeply rewarding creative experience. The final photos fully achieved our vision, harmonizing set, lighting, and costume seamlessly.
