These cosplay event photos of Rita's Sea Salt Slush have been sorted out. The design of this costume is quite special, with the main body being a splicing of three colors: black, white, and cyan, adding line senses similar to mecha and armor on top of a maid outfit. The straps on the chest and the ruffles on the edges have many layers, requiring many hidden snaps to fix, and it took quite a lot of time to adjust when wearing. The wig was chosen to be light golden, with the bangs and sideburns trimmed; after putting on the white headband and the black bow, the overall outline came out. The makeup part focused on the eyes, with blue contact lenses echoing the cyan-blue decorations on the clothes, and a little red smudging added to the outer corners of the eyes to increase a cold yet gorgeous feeling.
Accessories are the key to this styling. The white ruffled sleeve covers on the arms feature black straps and blue decorations, the black leather thigh rings on the thighs and the strapped high heels at the ankles are also matching, and these details add a lot of points when shooting cosplay event photos. The high heels are black patent leather, and the cyan-blue bow at the ankle matches the color tone of the clothes. The venue was in a large exhibition center, with high metal steel frame structures and neat overhead lights in the background. This industrial-style environment is very suitable for this sci-fi-leaning attire.
During shooting, because the ambient light of the cosplay event photos environment was relatively messy and the overhead light was very hard, we needed to find angles and use reflectors for fill light. The posture sitting on the black bar stool was also adjusted a few times; the first group of photos chose to cross the legs, which can not only showcase the leg lines and the texture of the thigh rings, but also give the body a nice curve, with the hand gently resting next to the cheek. The second group of photos tried a more relaxed sitting posture, with one hand on the waist and the other hand making a small-scale gesture, making it look more interactive. Because the overall tone is cool-toned, post-processing mainly darkened the background, highlighting the main body of the character, making the facial reflections softer, and making the black leather and patent leather materials look glossier. This styling has quite a lot of details; from the early costume arrangement to finding angles on-site, I am very satisfied with the overall completion degree, and look forward to trying more different styles of designs next time.
