[Tsurumaki Kokoro cosplay & Okusawa Misaki cosplay] Spreading the Joy of Hello, Happy World! at Nanning BanG Dream! Only

As the stage lights beamed down and the silhouettes of the audience swayed below, we stepped onto the stage of the Nanning BanG Dream! Only event. Traveling to Guangxi for our first BanG Dream! Only convention via an exhausting "special-forces" round trip was physically draining, but the overwhelming enthusiasm from the crowd and the electrifying performance atmosphere transformed all that fatigue into pure stage power. Today, my partner and I presented a Tsurumaki Kokoro cosplay and Okusawa Misaki cosplay from Hello, Happy World!. From early planning to stepping into the spotlight, our Fox-Cat duo went through countless rehearsals and fine-tuning. Our outfits were custom-made—stage costumes blending marching band regalia with Lolita silhouettes, themed in white, blue, and pink, accented with argyle patterns, golden fringed epaulettes, stars, and pony prints. The high-saturation colors, paired with voluminous tiered skirts and Over-the-knee socks, perfectly captured the vibrant, cheerful charm of Hello, Happy World!, making me feel instantly revitalized the moment I put it on.

Regarding the wigs and makeup, the contrast between blonde twintails and dark twintails was vivid and striking. To capture the personality traits of both characters, I intentionally added decorative face-paint motifs around my eyes; paired with the white peaked military cap adorned with an emblem, the overall styling came together seamlessly. Having such synergy with my partner gave me immense peace of mind—Xiaye stood there as the calm, reliable Okusawa Misaki cosplay counterpart, indulging my antics on stage just like Misaki lovingly dotes on Kokoro.

Before the performance, we even staged a short skit. The comedic bit about the "resignation letter" was hilarious; during rehearsals, I couldn't help bursting into laughter. In photo 2's "Try Not to Laugh" challenge, we put on goofy orange star-shaped glasses. We started out with fierce conviction, but collapsed into laughter within seconds. These spontaneous, goofy interactions became the most cherished, joyful memories of the whole event. Perhaps that is the true magic of a cosplay stage—it isn't just following a rehearsed script, but co-creating emotional resonance between the stage and the crowd.

When the music swelled and we reached "Romeo," the atmosphere in the hall peaked. Throughout the chorus, Xiaye and I basically jumped through the entire song, never pausing our choreography or letting go of our microphones. In that fleeting instant, completely immersed in the characters and song, I truly felt we were broadcasting Hello, Happy World!'s core mission: to make the whole world smile! Audience members waved in unison, creating an ocean of phone flashlights; that mutual spark of shared happiness is something nothing else can replace.

Stepping off stage and looking back on this Nanning BanG Dream! Only journey, we met so many passionate fans and snapped photos shoulder-to-shoulder with fellow enthusiasts. Because we gave our all on stage with expansive movements, we managed to capture plenty of dynamic live moments. What brought me the greatest joy was seeing the photos and audience returns—everyone was beaming with broad smiles. The outfits stood out brilliantly before the camera, their vivid colors popping against the glowing penlights and the stage's blue backdrop, delivering results I'm thrilled with. Our Fox-Cat duo will continue spreading joy just like Hello, Happy World!, ready to embrace both comical antics and cool moments alike. Within our fleeting time, we will keep creating invaluable memories together.
