Preparing for this shoot took quite some time, mainly to align all the maid outfits with the mechanical element accessories. During the shoot, we used white pillars as support points for different height elevations, ensuring the four of us didn't block each other's faces while creating a rich sense of depth. Ellen's massive scythe prop was exceptionally heavy to wield; maintaining poses relied entirely on core strength to stabilize balance, otherwise I would lean forward completely. Corin's circular saw accessory and zippered boots over Black stockings also severely tested waist and leg mobility. While Rina's wide flowing skirt was gorgeous, it frequently snagged during movement. Lycaon's beast ears and claws required immense patience to lock into the right angles.
For lighting, we specifically opted for a high-key white background to accentuate the stark contrast of the black and red palette. The Black stockings paired with heels made the silhouette lines look much sharper, playing to the costume's unique strengths. Throughout the shoot, everyone continually fine-tuned their facial expressions to maintain that sharp contrast—outwardly elegant, yet wielding lethal weapons behind the scenes. Posing with such heavy, giant props while keeping skirt folds neat and stockings smooth was a true test of physical stamina and garment fit. We constantly switched between standing platforms and crouching postures to prevent props from obstructing eye lines, ensuring that viewed from the front, the long legs in Black stockings and voluminous skirts blended together seamlessly. Though our shoulders were aching by the end, seeing that tension in the final photos—ostensibly cleaning, but actually demolishing the house—made every second worthwhile.
