[Ellen cosplay] Visiting the Zenless Zone Zero Collab Pop-Up: Riding the Itasha as the Shark Girl

Let's dive straight into the offline event visiting the Yadea × Zenless Zone Zero collaboration pop-up in Shanghai. To fit the on-site vibe, I put together a dedicated Ellen cosplay look. For hair and makeup, I sported short black-and-pink two-tone hair paired with crimson contact lenses, amber-tinted sports goggles resting on top of my head, and a prop lollipop in my mouth. The base makeup was kept fresh and dewy, focusing on sharp eye contours to make the red lenses pop. For the outfit, I picked a black sleeveless cropped tank top printed with pink graffiti lettering, layered under an oversized black-and-red biker jacket worn half-slid off the shoulders to channel that rebellious rider attitude. The bottom half consisted of washed denim cutoffs, a leather garter ring studded with metal rivets on my right thigh, and a small plush shark charm pinned at the waist. Footwear featured chunky color-blocked sneakers with white crew socks. Every detail of the styling faithfully recreated the character's signature street-tech aesthetic. To maintain the defined texture of the wig, I kept touching up the hair strands with setting spray between takes, striving for the most natural flow on camera.

Arriving at the venue, the themed wrap transformation was truly impressive. Pink neon signs and character standees were everywhere, flanked by two colossal inflatable goggle mascots at the entrance. The floor was decked out with black-and-white diagonal warning stripes, with several collab electric scooters parked along the sides. An interactive zone was set up for accepting commissions from NPCs, where collecting stamp rallies unlocked exclusive merchandise. I snapped several shots at the newspaper dispensary holding character standees and prop newspapers, and even ran into a cosplayer in a full fursuit of Von Lycaon—we took photos together and the vibe was fantastic. The NPC dialogue was scripted with great in-game flair, making the stamp collection feel like an authentic in-person commission.

The real highlight was testing the collab e-scooters. I tried the Ellen edition, which features shark-inspired contours covered with subtle texture patterns and character signature decals. Turning it on brought up the Fairy AI interface on the dashboard alongside the signature Bangboo startup sound effect—a delightful touch of detail. I also checked out the Bangboo edition, boasting a vivid orange-and-yellow colorway, adorable perked-ear headlights, and an ita-bag storage compartment, making it super practical for daily rides. The Von Lycaon edition went with matte black and silver, finished with rugged wolf claw patterns. During the shoot, the vehicle's paint finish showed great depth, catching lovely reflections under the cool-toned venue lighting.

For the shoot itself, the setup was a Sony A7R5 with the 24-70mm GM II lens; the optical clarity was exceptionally crisp, capturing both the vehicle's graffiti wraps and the fine fabric details of my outfit. The venue's lighting also delivered strong cyberpunk tones. I experimented with various poses—leaning against the seat, kneeling on one knee, and straddling the scooter—incorporating helmets and lollipops to snap plenty of satisfying dynamic shots. The entire outing went beyond just coming away with great photos; I genuinely felt the dedication behind building an offline immersive space. Exploring, playing, and completing the collab merch collection along the way made it a thoroughly rewarding offline experience for anyone passionate about biker style and anime culture.
