[Zenless Zone Zero Belle Cosplay] Summer Clarity by the Pool

Wearing this Zenless Zone Zero Belle swimsuit outfit, I shot a set of summer outdoor photos by the pool. Although this outfit looks simple, a lot of thought went into the selection and styling. First, for the hairstyle, the dark blue short wig was layered according to the original design, paired with light green colored contacts to make the eyes look more spirited. The orange bucket hat is the visual highlight of the entire look, adorned with custom small hairpins and accessories, forming a striking color-blocking contrast with the wig. The top is a white semi-sheer cropped tee over a black strap inner-wear, reflecting design while keeping it cool, with a small orange flower on the chest to break up the monotony of the white T-shirt. The bottom features bright orange sports shorts, and the black drawstring detail at the waistband perfectly recreates the original sporty feel. The combination of multi-colored woven bracelets and a necklace on the wrist adds richness and a personalized touch to the overall styling. It's very convenient to wear this set to anime conventions or outdoor shoots daily without any sense of restriction.

The weather on the shooting day was fantastic, and the pool ripples under the sun looked highly textured. The venue was selected in an outdoor resort area with arched gates and greenery. The vast blue pool in the background and the bright blue wooden Adirondack chair next to it made the image tones extremely clear. During the shoot, I tried several different props and poses, such as sitting on the blue lounge chair with a lemon juice. The refreshing drink combined with the resort scene easily blended into the summer holiday atmosphere. The texture of the rattan chair and the geometric lines of the wooden chair also provided great visual support in the frame. The photographer mainly used a wide aperture that day to highlight the subject, and the background blur beautifully blended the pool water and architecture into the bokeh, bringing the entire visual focus onto me. Natural light filtered through the eaves and leaves, casting soft shadows on the skin, making the overall final photos look incredibly clean.

Speaking of emotional expression, because this outfit leans toward a casual swimsuit style, I didn't need to deliberately make too many complex movements. Just relaxing, sitting on the chair, or holding up a hand to shade the sun could naturally present that lazy holiday vibe. The wig gleamed under the sun, and the subtle tint of the colored contacts made the gaze look gentle. When expressing the character's personality, I focused more on capturing a refreshing and slightly playful state. To photograph nice leg lines, I chose various sitting positions on the lounge chair to make my body lines look more extended. Those yellow animal-patterned slippers, acting as a styling accessory, also added a bit of fun, preventing the frame from looking too mature.

Honestly, doing this kind of summer character is always a minor test for personal stamina and makeup maintenance. Because the outdoor temperature is high and it's easy to sweat, I chose lightweight foundation and setting spray to prevent the face from getting oily or smudging. The wig also needed some hairspray for fixing. Finishing this set of photos felt not just like completing a character recreation, but also like experiencing the character's exclusive summer holiday in real life. I love the process of blending 2D clothing elements into real-world 3D scenes, especially when the colors of the clothes and the environment reach a consensus, giving a wonderful sense of harmony. There's no exaggerated post-processing on this set of photos; it mainly preserves the true skin texture and light/shadow. This is what makes outdoor portrait photography so charming.
