[Hoshimi Miyabi cosplay] Linghuan Comic Con Photos: The Cool-Headed Super Agent

I've finally sorted through the Cosplay event photos from the Ningbo Global Yintai Linghuan Comic Con—this time featuring Hoshimi Miyabi from Zenless Zone Zero. The lighting and ceiling height at the venue that day were ideal for creating a sci-fi, cool-toned studio atmosphere, and I am personally very satisfied with how the final shots turned out.

Let's talk about the costume preparation and wearing experience first. The upper body features a black-and-white base with a tactical armor vibe, layered under a pale cyan-blue cropped jacket detailed with intricate straps and buckles at the shoulders and waist. The lower body pairs a high-slit black long skirt with Black stockings cosplay; the slit height is cleverly designed for easy mobility while accentuating the leg lines. The platform heeled ankle boots on my feet are notably heavy, but their square metal buckles add substantial texture and bring authentic realism to the combat boot design. This ensemble was an absolute head-turner at the convention, standing out sharply in the crowd thanks to its distinctive color palette and clean tailoring.

For props, I wielded a glowing longsword almost as tall as myself. Built with an internal lighting unit, it produced a crisp white light effect during shooting with a subtle blue halo near the hilt. The sword isn't light, and holding it steady in fixed poses was quite the test of arm endurance; yet to maintain the character's calm, composed, and cool temperament, I kept my facial expressions and body posture tightly controlled. Thankfully, the enthusiastic feedback from fellow attendees on site gave me plenty of motivation.

The photographer delivered two distinct visual styles in the final cuts. One image featured graphical typography—pairing "SUPER AGENT" on the left with "COLLABORATION ESTABLISHED" on the right—instantly evoking a game UI character screen or promotional poster, where the bilingual elements heightened visual impact. However, I personally lean toward the untouched original without typography, which focuses the spotlight entirely on the subject, prop, and atmosphere. The polished floor tiles created a flawless reflection; combined with the photographer's low-angle perspective and subtle smoke effects around the edges, the cold, metallic mood of the shot emerged brilliantly.

In Zenless Zone Zero, Hoshimi Miyabi is fundamentally a character of formidable presence and decisive action, so I strived to project that sharp, forward-gazing intensity with sword in hand. Black short hair paired with animal ears and cool-toned makeup will hopefully let everyone feel the character's dynamic tension. For the staging, I intentionally chose to sit on the sleek floor, propping myself up with one hand while holding the sword aloft with the other—a casual yet imposing pose that fits the free-spirited, high-impact style of convention Cosplay event photos.

The ultimate allure of cosplay lies in using physical costumes and props to recreate a 2D persona, bringing them into real space and closing the distance through the lens. Every set of Convention photography feels like a ritualistic performance, aiming to carve out the most quintessential facets of beloved characters. These shots avoided heavy compositing to preserve ambient realism, relying instead on practical venue lighting, floor reflections, and subtle haze props to build the mood. Sharing this set marks a satisfying wrap-up to my Ningbo comic convention journey.
