[Remielle cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: A Dreamlike Angel Descends - Image 1

To bring this Remielle cosplay project from Zenless Zone Zero to fruition, we poured extensive dedication into crafting the props and constructing the scene. The chosen look carries distinct hallmarks of a Pink-haired girl bearing pure White wings, visually leaning into an aesthetic of dreamlike purity and sacred grace. To realize this ideal vision, from early wig trimming to the final studio setup, I participated directly and verified every single phase.

First, regarding the wig and makeup: Remielle's pink hair requires a very particular tonal nuance—neither excessively fluorescent nor overly muted, needing a soft matte fiber finish. When trimming, I deliberately preserved dimensional layers around the cheek-framing strands to keep the silhouette natural and airy. The blue-black geometric hair ornament resting in the hair was handcrafted using shrink plastic and anchored firmly with bobby pins. For makeup, focus centered on a diffused wash of pink eyeshadow paired with burgundy contacts, aiming to convey a clear, luminous, and slightly enigmatic gaze before the lens. The base foundation was kept pristine and sheer to preserve the harmony of the pure white palette.

The wardrobe appears minimal, yet the white camisole and off-the-shoulder styling demand strict attention to silhouette and skin preparation. Thorough anti-exposure measures and skin tone balancing were completed prior to shooting to ensure a clean frame. The most striking element—the massive pair of White wings—was the prime hurdle of this production. To prevent the wings from sagging under their own weight during the shoot, we built a lightweight internal armature anchored to the shoulders and back with concealed harness straps. Each feather was layered and attached by hand to balance fullness and texture, ultimately yielding the expansive, voluminous presence seen in the photos.

The scene design was likewise tailored to serve Remielle's ambiance. A black grand piano formed the central anchor, carrying a classical and dignified grounding presence; atop it, we arranged a vintage white table clock, blue rose vines, printed sheer ribbons, and even a gold-trimmed round mirror. These curated props, combined with cascading dark blue drapes in the background, broke the uniformity of monochrome white and introduced an alluring cold-toned contrast.

Lighting throughout the session was equally noteworthy. To accentuate the feathery texture of the wings, the primary key light fell from an oblique high angle to generate soft, diffused wrap. The reflective surface of the black piano acted as a natural bounce board, retaining subtle shadow detail while forging rich spatial depth. Because the wings were so voluminous, they frequently obstructed sightlines while shifting poses, requiring me to recalibrate head tilt and neckline angles with every frame. The pose leaning back against the piano for an over-the-shoulder glance was designed specifically to create a dynamic diagonal line across the body while showcasing the contours of the neck and shoulders.

The entire shoot was not merely about capturing the character's visual design, but about reconstructing an aura of quiet, pure, and sacred stillness through environment and light. Seeing the final interplay of highlights and nuances made every bit of manual crafting and repeated calibration profoundly worthwhile.
