These convention photos focus on pose and action references, interacting with gloves, a hat, and whip-rope props to recreate the vibrant, energetic charm of Highlander Twins' Tachibana Nozomi. Because they were shot on-site at an anime expo, we had to coordinate poses and quick captures with the photographer in short windows, so I've compiled this series of poses to share for reference.

The outfit configuration includes a navy cropped jacket paired with white gloves, a blue-crowned cap with a gold emblem, and elf ears. When doing finger-pointing or guiding gestures, allowing the wrist to drape naturally works with the white gloves to create strong visual guidance. The tights paired with navy shorts and boots visually elongate leg proportions through this balanced silhouette, proving especially advantageous during high-kick poses.

For high-kick poses like the one in Photo 9, the key is keeping your center of gravity entirely grounded on the supporting leg while pointing the toe of the raised leg, using the visual line of the white tights to elongate the silhouette and make the posture look crisp. When interacting with the hat—such as holding the brim—pulling the shoulders slightly inward to match the wrist movement highlights a lively, playful focal point.

The black lead rope serves as an excellent dynamic element. When casually trailing near the feet alongside a hands-on-hips stance as in Photo 3, it feels effortless and natural; when held firmly in hand during single-leg poses like Photo 8, it creates physical balance, preventing the posture from looking flat. You can also whip the rope during shooting to freeze the split-second it floats in midair, vastly enriching the dynamic energy. Naturally, convention floors can be slippery, so maintaining core balance during wide single-leg stances is essential to prevent slipping.

White tights convention photo captures under complex expo lighting can generate strong reflections—especially when nearby LED light sticks cast harsh glare, easily causing overexposure. Using diffused fill lighting is recommended on-site to keep the white textures clean, harmonizing with Blue Archive's bright aesthetic style. The bright blue piping along the navy jacket hem catches the eye on camera and echoes the halo overhead, effectively breaking the monotony of large dark blocks.

Overall, these poses emphasize the character's spirited energy. Poses don't need to be exaggerated for the sake of it—holding a hat, pointing gracefully, or standing on one leg all hinge on whether the body curves are fluid and pleasing. From white gloves to boots, every accessory can inspire distinct body language. Capturing these split-seconds allows convention photos to authentically convey the character's lively vitality. I hope this set offers inspiration to fellow cosplayers looking for convention action references; making clever use of floor reflections, hats, and lead ropes for visual guidance helps create convention photos with richer storytelling.
