[Tachibana Hikari cosplay] Blue Archive Energetic Cheerleader — Elf Ears and White Tights Cosplay Shoot

The photo sets from the comic con free pass are finally sorted out! This time I shot three completely different looks: Hatsune Miku cosplay, Shiroko Sunaookami Cosplay from Blue Archive, and Tachibana Hikari cosplay, which I'm highlighting today. Putting on Hikari's white cheerleader outfit was truly an entirely different vibe and experience.

First, let's talk about the makeup and styling details. The light green long straight hair needed meticulous combing to ensure a natural transition along the hairline when wearing the elf ears. The elf ear props were chosen in a moderate size—not overly exaggerated, but just right to evoke that otherworldly agility and charm. In terms of costume, the white-and-blue cropped top paired with a matching pleated skirt flatters the waistline and visually elongates body proportions. As the finishing touch of this look, the over-the-knee white stockings in this white tights cosplay not only extended the leg lines, but also unified the overall color scheme into a crisp palette of white, blue, and green.

The shooting location was set in an indoor corner of the convention venue, where signs for the dressing and changing rooms could be seen in the background. It had just rained, making the light soft and diffused. The photographer made use of local resources by laying a white plush rug over the greyish-white concrete floor. This simple prop unexpectedly served as a wonderful reflector, making the seated poses look remarkably soft and warm. For the camera angle, we chose a slightly elevated high-angle shot, which, combined with a simple raised-hand gesture, perfectly captured the character's playful and spirited nature. Since this was shot during the open walk, the venue was still busy setting up booths; although there were equipment and crew in the background, bokeh blur from the lens focal length effectively highlighted the subject without making the frame feel cluttered.

Regarding pose guidance, we tried several different moods. When holding the pom-poms, one could choose a lazy drape or raise both hands up high. We ultimately froze the moment with one hand slightly raised and eyes looking straight into the camera, which, paired with her slightly bashful expression, nicely balanced the energetic vibe of the cheerleader outfit itself.

For the other two looks, Shiroko Sunaookami Cosplay's silver-grey cat ears look was shot in a rain-washed outdoor passage, where the cool, damp tones formed a striking contrast with this bright, cheerful outfit. The black-and-red folding fan for Hatsune Miku cosplay focused heavily on dynamic snapshots, requiring repeated muscle control adjustments to maintain a flowing lightness during pauses. Experiencing three distinct costume textures over three days served as a great comprehensive drill for cooperating with photography.

Although shooting time was tight during this convention pass, the photographer's mastery of light and shadow was spot-on. In particular, for reflective materials like white tights in this white tights cosplay, the exposure was controlled with great precision without blowing out highlights or losing texture.
