This Cartethyia outfit was designed right from the preparation stage with a key baseline: balancing visual accuracy with mobility. So in the final photos, whether it's the ring-buckle structure of the collar or the blue-and-white vine-like crystal decorations on the chest and waist, they maintain the character's original setting feel while minimizing awkwardness. The golden hair was styled with a light cream-like texture, paired with pointed elf ears, presenting a strong fantasy texture under the venue's specific lighting. For this Convention photography shoot, we tested the direction of the wig bangs many times beforehand to ensure that after putting on the unicorn horn headpiece, the bangs would contour the face without obscuring the blue forehead jewel—an essential detail when capturing close-ups.

What I wanted to express most during this shoot was a relaxed yet confident vibe, so I deliberately snapped this bicep-flexing fist pose. Many people's impression of this character offline is cool and stern, but I personally feel that at an anime convention, giving her a more lived-in, interactive personality makes the photos much more lively rather than stiff posing. Photographer @ChenHunGuangYing is exceptional at capturing these natural moments; instead of making me hold textbook-level static poses, they caught dynamic, high-tension angles while I was walking and moving around.

On the editing side, huge thanks to @CangLanXing (Super Retouch Ver.). Convention hall overhead lights are very harsh, and the huge space can easily make skin tones look muddy or overexpose pure white fabrics into dead whites. Fine editing not only preserved the translucent feel of the gradient blue on the garment, but also solved uneven skin tone issues, rendering 3D color depth. The skirt hem features a white-and-blue gradient print adorned with metallic triangular pendants at the bottom. In full-body shots, these accessories draped naturally as my body's center of gravity shifted, balancing the overall visual center alongside the thigh pendant.

The blue mark tattoo on my arm was specifically applied. To align with the muscle lines of the arm, I adjusted its placement three times to ensure a seamless connection with the edge of the blue glove without any breaks. The glove itself was made of slightly stretchy fabric so that when raising my arms for various poses, the cloth wouldn't bunch up into awkward creases at the joints.

Honestly, the anime convention venue environment was quite noisy, with many fellow fans holding lenses around us, and more tripods and reflectors in the background than expected. In such a chaotic background, coordination with the photographer became crucial. Angle-borrowing to dodge reflector boards and light stands while balancing compositions for both waist-up portraits and full-body shots was a test of adaptability. While shooting, we had to dodge crowds while ensuring the blue crystal horn on the elf headpiece faced straight ahead in photos to avoid a top-heavy visual offset.

Besides front close-ups, the back design of this outfit also had subtle touches; the waist cutout revealed a bit of waist curve when walking or turning sideways. However, when selecting the cover image, I ultimately chose this frontal fist-raising half-body photo. It not only conveys power in movement, but also carries a playful smile in the eyes, fitting the tongue-in-cheek 'blond jock' label. Coser daily life is truly driven by passion—from custom costume tailoring and accessory selection to makeup/wig trial and error, every step strives to bring character aura into real life. Though prep was tedious, seeing the final rendered photos made all upfront effort worth it. This is the unique charm conventions lend to photography in Wuthering Waves.
