[Phoebe Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Phoebe Sailor Suit Look: Maxing Out the Adorable Flower Basket Aesthetic

Today, I'm sharing a complete cosplay shoot of Phoebe from Wuthering Waves. The details of this costume are incredibly intricate, anchored in a refreshing blue-and-white color palette. The top features a classic Sailor suit collar trimmed with delicate blue piping along the collar and cuffs, centered with a large pastel-blue striped ribbon bow at the chest and belted with a slender black leather strap to maintain a unified aesthetic. The skirt boasts a multi-tiered construction: the innermost layer is crisp white lace, the middle tier is composed of navy blue ruffled frills, and the outermost layer flares into a pastel-blue pleated design. When walking or lifting the hem, the distinct layering becomes exceptionally dynamic. To support the flared silhouette, a well-fitted petticoat was layered underneath.

For hair styling, I chose long, golden wavy locks with blunt bangs framing the face, styled into symmetrical twin buns at the crown secured with blue ribbons beneath a matching blue beret. The beret was dotted with small white daisies that resonated with the blooms in the flower basket. Around the neck, a black metallic chain choker was added to introduce an edge of visual depth.

For makeup, purple contact lenses were worn to match the character's canon design, paired with pinkish-red eye shadow deepened at the outer corners and a soft, natural pink lip tint, keeping the overall look aligned with a darling 2D Anime cosplay aesthetic.

During the session, I explored various stances to best showcase the garments. The first shot was an over-the-shoulder glance while lifting the skirt with one hand, which not only flattered leg contours but also allowed the tiered ruffles to fan out organically. The third shot introduced a woven wicker flower basket as a prop, gently touching the brim of my beret with one hand while subtly lifting one leg to inject living energy into the composition. The second shot faced the camera head-on, holding both sides of the skirt to display the front tailoring. The fourth opted for a quiet, poised profile stance with hands softly folded in front.

For footwear, white lace ankle socks tied with delicate blue ribbon bows echoed the overarching blue-and-white theme.

The entire shoot was conducted against a pure white cyclorama to ensure the blue-and-white ensemble took center stage. Free from distracting environmental glare, the material textures and colors reproduced with pristine fidelity. When posing, keeping the back straight and posture engaged is paramount; fingers must remain relaxed when pinching the skirt hem rather than gripping tightly, which avoids distorting the silhouette. The faux white daisies in the basket were carefully curated, with stem directions and density adjusted to keep arrangements organic.

From costume prep and wig styling to the final cuts, this Game cosplay demanded immense dedication. For that first over-the-shoulder glance, effortless harmony between neck and shoulders was vital to avoid looking stiff, while the hand lifting the skirt needed measured tension to sculpt a graceful arc. Wearing a structured petticoat while standing for extended periods tests your stamina, requiring periodic posture resets between takes. Regarding wig care, creating the crown twin buns meant sectioning the hair, locking it with hairnets, and gently sculpting outer strand flow to look full yet effortless. The bangs were lightly set with hair wax to prevent stray flyaways. Every single tier of the skirt required thorough steaming beforehand—especially the delicate lace and ruffles, as any curling edge or crease would compromise the final image. On-set lighting on a pure white background demanded absolute uniformity; if the exposure drops even slightly, the sky-blue tones turn dull, losing that crisp freshness. We communicated continuously to calibrate light angles and output, maintaining fluid continuity so the photographer could freeze authentic dynamic moments. Because the outfit is inherently voluminous, keeping proper negative space between arms and torso prevented the silhouette from bunching up.
