When I went to the collaboration store on the 21st, I didn't plan on shooting photos, but in the end, I couldn't resist and lively worked as Camellya from Wuthering Waves. Because this time it's a self-matched collaboration style, a lot of thought went into everything from choosing the clothes to finalizing the makeup. To restore Camellya's languid yet slightly dangerous temperament, I chose a white off-shoulder knitted sweater for the outfit. This chunky knit material is not only warm but also nicely outlines the shoulder and collarbone lines, while the straps at the neckline and hanging pom-poms add a lot of detail. Wearing the sweater in an off-shoulder style actually requires some anti-slip tips, otherwise it easily slides down when posing. The lower body is paired with a white multi-layered pleated short skirt; to elongate proportions, I specially matched it with white over-the-knee socks, so that when walking or posing, the leg lines look better, and it also adds some ACG attributes.
The wig part was also trimmed by myself slowly. Camellya's signature silver-white twin tails, plus streaked black hair strands, paired with red and black ribbons and metal pieces on both sides. The most soulful parts are, of course, that red rose hair accessory and the black velvet rose choker around the neck—once these props are worn, the character's atmospheric vibe immediately comes alive. In terms of makeup, to get closer to the character's temperament, the base makeup was applied relatively translucent, with eye makeup being the focus: elongated eyeliner, increased density of false eyelashes, red-brown eyeshadow blended at the outer corners of the eyes, paired with light gray-blue contact lenses, trying to make the gaze look more enchanting.
The shoot was divided into two sessions: indoors and outdoors. The night scene set was shot against a dense green foliage background, utilizing a fill light for front lighting, where the strong contrast between light and shadow made the frame look textured and also highlighted the facial makeup. The daytime set was in a square with great sunlight, where the feeling of a breeze blowing through the twin tails was very natural, and under natural light, this white sweater looked exceptionally gentle. During the photo shoot, to coordinate with the photographer Ciyuanjun, I also tried many different actions, such as reaching out to interact with the lens or gently brushing my hair. To make the clothes fit more snugly, I kept adjusting the neckline and the direction of the ribbons during the shoot as well. The outdoor shoot that day actually had quite a few passersby around, so maintaining a poker face while posing amidst the crowd was also a small test. Although this styling is not as hardcore as the original version, this daily-style fan-made pairing actually adds a bit of approachability.
