The theme of this photoshoot is Genshin Impact Klee's Blossoming Starlight look. From preparing the costume and props, a lot of thought went into it. The red wide-brimmed hat is the visual centerpiece of this look; the pattern on the underside of the hat, along with the red bow, pops vividly against the dark background. To stay true to the character, the makeup focused on the red pupils and elf ears, and the wig was layered, cut, and styled to ensure sufficient fluffiness and volume in front of the lens.

The shoot was held in a studio featuring pumpkin lanterns and dark red drapes. The warm yellow light shone on me, contrasting and blending with the red outfit to create an intense Halloween vibe. During the shoot, the photographer and I focused primarily on compositions around the cushion area. The first photo features a pose lying on the cushion; we spent quite some time adjusting the head angle to make sure my gaze looked naturally into the camera. This pose works well for showing upper-body costume details and facial expressions.

The second photo is a seated pose on the cushion with legs stretched forward. This composition was intentional because this Black tights outfit with red bows at the cuffs was finely crafted. Combined with the black gloves and the extended lines of the lower legs, it breaks the dullness of a simple sitting posture, giving this Moe anime girl character a much more lively and dynamic charm. To balance the lines of the legs and the tilt angle of the head, I had to continuously fine-tune my center of gravity, keeping the legs extended while maintaining a relaxed upper body.

The pumpkin lanterns and candle props in the background added plenty of mystery to the scene. Combined with the dim environment, they grounded the large areas of red, preventing the overall frame from feeling too floating or disconnected. Some auxiliary light sources were also used on set to brighten the face, ensuring that the red eyes and rosy cheeks showed up clearly.

In post-processing, the texture of the legs and tights was preserved without excessive liquifying, aiming to present a natural and comfortable visual feel. This costume and prop combination is ideal for close-ups and medium shots; both the prone angle and the leg-extended angle highlight the character's playful charm. The entire shoot was quite physically demanding—holding a prone position for a long time takes significant arm strength, and the leg-extended pose requires controlling muscle tension. But seeing the final results made all the adjustments worthwhile. For this kind of themed studio shoot, the more thorough the prep work, the more room there is in post-production, and the stronger the storytelling of the finished images.
