[Keqing cosplay] Harbor Sea Breeze and Noontime Greetings

Taking advantage of the great sunlight during lunch break today, I headed to the harbor for an outdoor location shoot of Keqing. When I decided to do this look, I knew I had to find a location with open water. Liyue's prosperity is inseparable from its harbor, and when that sea breeze carrying moist mist blew over, for a fleeting moment, I genuinely felt as if I were standing on the edge of Teyvat.

From the wig to the accessories, my makeup artist and I meticulously picked apart every detail of this outfit. I specifically gave the purple wig multiple gradient treatments so it would present a translucent, bright light purple hue without looking dull under strong natural light. A lot of effort also went into the hair cat ears—we repeatedly adjusted the shape of the internal styling wire to make sure they not only stood upright but also contoured to my head without looking awkward on camera. Today, I intentionally chose a slightly upward selfie perspective to fully incorporate the blue sky and vast sea into the composition. This natural light and shadow you see was truly a blessing from above; the weather forecast originally predicted clouds, but it cleared up as soon as I arrived. The purple hair strands reflected a faint pearlescent sheen under the sun, a texture I searched high and low for before selecting this wig material.

Many people think Cosplay sharing is just putting on clothes and smiling at the camera, but the physical challenges behind it are far more complex than they appear. Although the shoulder armor and arm guards are high in fidelity, the hard material makes any slightly larger movement pinch my shoulders uncomfortably. To maintain natural tension in the frame, I had to steady myself in the sea breeze while keeping my facial expression relaxed and effortless. After finishing the set, my arms actually had quite a few red marks. Yet, precisely because I experienced these tedious details firsthand, I gained a deeper appreciation for how tough it is for Keqing, as one of the Liyue Qixing, to handle demanding affairs day in and day out. She possesses a decisive and resolute nature, but also harbors a deeply hidden gentleness—like how she always worries whether the Traveler is eating properly on time.

Whenever I cosplay her, I consciously imitate her confident and slightly tsundere demeanor. Since I'm posting this at noon to meet everyone, let me use the sunlight in this photo to remind you all: no matter how busy work or studies are in reality, make sure to have lunch on time and take care of your body so you have the energy to explore your own adventures! Today's shoot had a tight, efficient tempo, making the effort of traveling to the seaside feel completely worthwhile. As a cosplayer who frequently goes out for anime-style photography, encountering perfect weather, an ideal location, and bringing every detail to life is truly fulfilling.
