For this Genshin Impact Keqing cosplay, I tried out the trendy Office Lady style. Right from the preparation stage, I kept pondering how to blend the decisive, swift spirit of the Liyue Qixing with our real-world office environment. A great deal of thought went into selecting the wardrobe to suit this concept. The crisp white short-sleeved blouse features a tailored waistline with a slightly unbuttoned collar, opting for a soft, fluid drape rather than an overly stiff fabric so that movements would look natural. The employee ID lanyard around my neck was the soul of the look; although it was a blank card, the hanging lanyard filled the negative space across the chest just right.
For the bottom, I paired it with a black glossy patent leather miniskirt. The patent leather finish reflects a gorgeous luster under the lights, and its structured material cleanly accentuates the body's curves. However, this fabric picks up fingerprints very easily, so I had to keep wiping it with a soft microfiber cloth between takes to maintain that sleek, polished texture. For the legs, I chose sheer black stockings paired with red-soled pointed-toe stilettos. Red soles are an absolute game-changer for workplace presence—even standing perfectly still radiates the character's sharp sharpness. As for the wig, I trimmed the bangs, put on the cat-ear buns, wore slim half-rim glasses, and paired them with purplish-red eyeshadow and blush, achieving that capable yet subtly adorable aesthetic I had envisioned.
The location was a typical modern office space. The natural afternoon sunlight was wonderful, filtering through the Venetian blinds onto the white shirt and patent leather skirt to create rich, dynamic layers of light and shadow. For that first shot perching on the edge of the desk, I spent quite a while perfecting the pose. Raising one hand to brush through my hair while crossing my legs naturally highlighted the silhouette of the heels while elongating the leg lines wrapped in black stockings. The foot resting on the desk edge required rock-solid balance while still projecting an effortless, relaxed demeanor.
In the shots seated on the office chair, I tried to convey the feeling of having just plowed through a stack of documents, pausing briefly to look up into the lens. The blue folder in my hand made a fantastic prop, enhancing an authentic sense of workplace immersion. When I held the folder and flashed a peace sign, it bridged right back to Keqing's inherent confidence and vibrancy. Shooting cosplay in an office is truly fascinating; the familiar background hum of printers and rhythmic keyboard clicks made slipping into that dedicated work mindset effortless.
To capture this set, I spent the entire afternoon in this office area dressed in this outfit. Balancing on chairs while wearing high heels is actually quite tricky, and the patent leather skirt felt snug when sitting down, requiring frequent adjustments. Yet the moment I saw the finished photos, all the fatigue vanished into thin air. Keqing's earnest dedication to her duties truly inspired me—if I could work alongside a boss like her in real life, even working overtime would feel invigorating. This creative project showed me that a character's charm can effortlessly translate into diverse everyday settings, and I look forward to exploring more lifestyle-inspired styles whenever the opportunity arises.
