[Sorasaki Hina cosplay] Exquisite Maid Outfit in Blue Archive

This Blue Archive Sorasaki Hina cosplay photo set involved quite a few deliberate styling considerations. For hair and makeup, I chose long silver hair with high-quality strands, as a natural drape was essential. Purple contact lenses combined with pink-purple eye makeup helped achieve her signature aloof gaze. The maid outfit was crafted from structured fabric, featuring heat-set apron pleats and a custom-made heart-shaped accent on the bodice.

Wearing purple stockings paired with black patent leather shoes showcased the leg lines beautifully under the convention center lighting. The halo above my head and the massive wings on my back were pivotal elements of the styling, requiring repeated adjustments and securing to maintain their optimal shape. For the shoot, we chose a long hallway inside Firefly ACG Expo as our backdrop, blurring out surrounding booths to make the character pop.

To accommodate varied poses, I brought along a gray suitcase as a supporting prop. Sitting on it with my legs crossed naturally showcased the texture of the purple stockings and the curve of my legs, which yielded one of the most ideal final shots. Posing standing up while running a hand through my hair conveyed an aloof, haughty aura, whereas kneeling allowed the skirt to spread out fully, highlighting the symmetrical harmony between the wings and hemline. In between takes, I constantly had to tidy my long hair to keep it neat after moving around, and the small plushie alongside added a touch of playful charm.

The convention hall lighting was quite tricky; overhead lights occasionally cast unflattering shadows on my face, requiring fill light from the photographer or positional shifts to resolve. For an outfit with large wings and floor-length hair, moving through the convention during peak foot traffic was cumbersome, so I scouted a relatively quiet corridor beforehand for our main shoot, avoiding crowd distractions. Throughout the session, I maintained tight control over my expressions to complement the cool makeup tones—slightly tilting my chin up or casting a downward glance to capture her persona accurately. The chibi plush beside me served as a fun Easter egg, its angle carefully adjusted to look like a tiny companion sitting right by my side.

In post-processing, we primarily cleaned up the distracting glare inside the venue and adjusted the saturation and temperature of the purple hues using color balance, resulting in a cleaner and more visually pleasing color palette. Cosplayer Qiezijiang i brought immense dedication to this portrayal; throughout the entire shoot, the wig, dress, and intricate wings were continuously adjusted to ensure maximum accuracy. All in all, it was a thoroughly fulfilling experience.
