[Laffey Cosplay] Azur Lane: Live Convention Photo Records of a Lazy Bunny

Sharing a set of full Laffey cosplay photos from Azur Lane at the convention. The styling features a loose blue-and-white sailor-inspired top, a blue ribbon headband adorned with a white bone ornament, flowing silver-white twin tails, long bunny ears, and semi-sheer blue ribbons. My favorite detail is the tiny carrot pendant at the neckline, which injects a lively splash of color into the crisp blue-and-white base. For makeup, to capture Laffey's natural dazed yet lazy charm as a Moe anime girl, I accentuated the cheek blush and soft pink blending around the outer eye corners to soften my gaze.

Shot at the exhibition center amidst bustling staff and fellow fans, the photographer utilized a wide aperture to blur the background into creamy light bokeh that made the character pop. I particularly love the shot seated on the black high stool: the combination of White stockings and blue thigh straps beautifully flattered the leg lines, while chunky white Mary Jane platform shoes visually elongated my proportions, blending seamlessly into the stocking cuffs without harsh transitions.

To capture candid expressions, we snapped varied interactive moments—such as tugging both pigtail ends with both hands or resting my cheek on one palm while spacing out—recreating her unhurried, carefree demeanor. When posing in outfits with long ribbons, care is essential: letting ribbons bunch up in front creates visual clutter, so using limb placement to spread the fabric's natural drape produces much cleaner frames.

The ambient lighting and darker surroundings worked in our favor. Overhead light strips illuminated the silver-white wig with a gorgeous sheen from multiple angles. Since convention lighting can easily cause harsh facial shadows or blown-out highlights, we coordinated reflector placement with the photographer, yielding fair, translucent skin tones with gentle shadow transitions. Walking for hours in platform shoes tested foot stamina, but maintaining good form in the final frames made every effort worthwhile. The relaxed cut balanced by off-the-shoulder styling merged leisure with cuteness, and the welcoming convention energy allowed for a smooth, joyful Laffey cosplay shoot.
