Preparing and finalizing the styling for this Formal dress Reze took about a month. Because it was for the CICF Expo, wearing this kind of strapless long dress outdoors in Guangzhou's weather was actually quite a challenge. To faithfully restore the character's temperament, I chose a basic purplish-red wig, trimmed layers into it, and styled it, specifically tying a small side bun to hold that iconic little daisy. The base makeup followed a translucent approach, paired with green contact lenses and relatively light eyeshadow to emphasize the alienated gaze.

In terms of costume, the black strapless gown has high demands on tailoring; the bust pleats and waist cinching directly dictate how it appears on camera. To add dimension, the skirt hem is pieced with a black tulle train. For accessories, the thick black choker and translucent opera gloves are indispensable details. The black leather strap on the thigh was also carefully adjusted for tightness to ensure it wouldn't slip down or pinch visibly during walking or kneeling poses. For props, I prepared a black semi-automatic pistol model and several bunches of white daisies. The cold rigidity of the handgun and the soft beauty of the daisies created a sharp visual contrast, which is my favorite contrasting element of this set.

The outdoor location that day was chosen at a waterside platform near the convention hall. Under the rim light of the sunset, the sheer texture of the black tulle skirt looked much better than in a studio. To better showcase the gown's cut and leg lines, I tried kneeling while aiming the gun, leaning against railings, and other poses. When aiming the gun, the gaze needed to be stern, whereas looking down at the flowers or glancing back sideways required relaxing the facial muscles to reveal a quiet, melancholy mood. The long gloves snagged very easily outdoors, so I had to constantly mind the range of my movements. The hardest part of shooting this set was balancing the sunset light with the black outfit—since black tends to absorb light, it placed relatively high demands on shooting angles and reflector usage. Fortunately, the final lighting and shadow results were extremely satisfying, capturing the fleeting sunset window so that both frame texture and atmospheric vibe met our envisioned expectations.
