The venue lighting at the Manila Comic Con was highly translucent, and paired with the massive white pillars, wide glass railings, and reflective tiles inside the hall, the entire environment naturally provided a soft, cool-toned background. These natural light conditions are perfect for shooting pale-colored outfits, especially this costume dominated by light blue and pure white, which appeared extraordinarily fitting in this environment, making the photo yield naturally higher than expected.

The wig chosen this time featured a blended gradient of light blue and light purple, with a specialized three-dimensional arch design at the top, and the bangs on both sides were contoured to beautifully frame the face. The hair strands on both sides of the cheeks are fixed with semi-transparent purple small clips at the ends, and combined with the golden hair accessory on the right side, the overall layering is richer than a single-colored wig. This part took quite a bit of time to style, especially that cowlick at the top of the head, which required styling products to stay in shape all day long. The lace and pearl choker decoration on the neck is a highlight of this outfit; the intricate white neckpiece excellently fills the blank space left by the off-shoulder design, while naturally guiding the visual focus to the upper body.

The faux two-piece bodice utilized fabric with a pearlescent texture, which, combined with the puff-sleeve design, made the lines of the shoulders and arms softer. The sleeves used a lightweight, white semi-transparent material, giving a natural airy flow when moving. The skirt also used a similar lustrous fabric; the advantage of this material is that when hit by various spotlights or overhead lights at the convention venue, it reflects a shimmering glow, making it highly eye-catching. The hem of the skirt features golden piping, and there is a large blue heart-shaped decoration on the torso, looking highly exquisite. The pair of semi-transparent wing-like light drapes at the back, though not rigid large wings, carry a highly graceful draping texture when a breeze passes by or when spinning, capturing a beautiful winged fairy aesthetic through this blue cosplay.

To showcase the overall lines of this outfit, I deliberately chose a pose standing on one leg while making a heart shape with both hands, which reveals the white tights and white high heels with ankle straps while beautifully displaying the fluffiness of the skirt hem. When shooting, a larger range of body movements actually yields better photos, such as lifting a leg or widely extending an arm, creating an interactive feel with the geometric lines of the background. Regarding the overall makeup, maintaining a clean look while attending a convention in a tropical region requires quite a few techniques. Originally, the character's setting might lean toward an extremely fair and delicate complexion, but considering Southeast Asia's hot climate and lighting, I didn't deliberately pursue excessive whiteness in the foundation. Instead, I retained a natural skin tone base, paired with naturally blended blush and lip color on the edges, along with green colored contacts, making the overall makeup look much more vibrant.

Speaking of the atmosphere at Manila Comic Con, it indeed shares similarities in layout and scale with the Hong Kong convention I visited before, both being spaces that fully immerse people in the anime world. The crowd size inside the venue was considerable, but the hall's lighting and architectural lines provided many natural advantages for photography. Many photographers composed their shots by utilizing the pillars or glass reflections inside the hall, yielding fantastic results. The fabric of this costume is indeed a bit thick, and light-colored clothes are relatively easy to get soiled outdoors or when the venue's air conditioning is insufficient. Fortunately, the weather was quite helpful over these few days, and the air conditioning inside the hall was sufficient, so the shooting process encountered few surprises.

In fact, every time I do a cosplay, the preparation work behind it consumes the most energy—from trimming the wig to ironing the costume and securing the accessories, these details must be repeatedly confirmed before heading out. Because this outfit has quite a few accessories, to prevent them from falling off when walking around on-site, I sewed hidden snaps and safety pins inside the costume and along the edges of the accessories in advance. Under the tropical environment of Southeast Asia, facial sweating throughout the day is unavoidable, so the setting spray must be waterproof and sweatproof; otherwise, the makeup will easily turn cakey within two hours of stepping out. However, precisely because of these sufficient preparations, I could face the camera quite calmly on the day of the convention, leaving behind these records.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the photography friends who helped press the shutter on-site. Together, we found a relatively quiet corner in the noisy hall to complete a relatively satisfying record. The charm of a convention lies in being able to meet many like-minded peers; although spending a whole day in high heels while carrying a bunch of props is highly exhausting, seeing the restored clothing details and on-site atmosphere in the final convention photos makes this sense of accomplishment completely irreplaceable.
