[Laffey cosplay] Bunny Lord of Azur Lane: Languid Little Bunny Under Autumn Red Leaves

This time I'm sharing the results of my Azur Lane Laffey cosplay photoshoot in the Bunny Lord outfit. An autumn photography style featuring a dense maple leaf forest backdrop was chosen for the overall look, which, paired with this fluffy attire, visually creates a warm yet languid contrast.

Let's start with overall hair and makeup. This long silver-white wavy wig is key to the styling. To achieve a natural fluffiness, I spent considerable time combing and styling it before shooting so hair strands would have a soft texture under light, while retaining a bit of messiness to match the character's languid temperament. To make eyes look more expressive and true to character lore, I selected magenta contact lenses, paired with large-area pink blush blending around the eyes, along with dimensional contouring across the nose bridge and center face to make facial contours appear more delicate and cute. For lip makeup, a glossy red lip gloss was used to brighten overall complexion.

I paid great attention to costume details. The black strap choker around my neck consists of several thin black bands, creating a slightly restrictive accent. A soft white faux rabbit fur ball sits in the center, paired with golden metal rings to create rich visual layering. The white fluffy collar of the jacket draping over shoulders is exceptionally thick, offering a very comfy tactile feel in reality that feels like being wrapped in warmth when worn. The inner layer is a black thin strapless top, which, combined with the off-the-shoulder jacket design, adds a touch of subtle sexy elements without losing overall cute balance as an Animal-eared girl look.

As for headwear, the pair of white rabbit ears props were heightened and shaped, with faint pink on the inside creating a lovely color echo with the silver-white wig. The black semi-arc crown on top paired with golden tassel cords adds a touch of classical and fantasy charm in detail. Black hair accessories with golden rings sit on the sides; due to dense hair strands, they required careful securing to prevent sliding during shooting.

The location on shooting day was set under this dense red leaf arrangement. Warm orange spotlights hit my face and background maple leaves, creating a deeply rich autumn vibe that unexpectedly harmonized with the plush jacket and silver-white wig in terms of color palette. This lighting setup heavily tested the gaffer's skills, as overly bright lights easily blow out details on red pupils and fur, while overly dark lights lose ambient background light. Trying several expressions during shooting, in this photo I slightly raised my chin, resting both hands gently on the white fur collar while gazing into the lens, striving to convey Laffey's sleepy, slightly dazed, yet utterly adorable nature.

Before starting the shoot, I felt a bit nervous because the costume and accessories had many details—especially neck straps and head accessories, which could easily mess up during larger movements. So I checked the position of my wig and headpieces from time to time to ensure every photo reached a perfect state. I added extra curl to the wig ends myself to give them a natural falling trajectory over shoulders, creating a beautiful aesthetic resting on collarbones and the white fur collar.

Overall, this recreation of the Laffey cosplay Bunny Lord character focused more on conveying the character's innate ambiance through hair, makeup, and setting. From wig texture to contact lens color selection, down to accessory matching, I aimed to satisfy myself while hoping everyone feels the character's unique, relaxed charm through this photo set. For post-production retouching, I preserved hair texture and facial light-shadow as much as possible without excessive skin smoothing, keeping a realistic photographic feel. Shooting in warm light while wearing such fluffy clothes was truly an enjoyable experience.
