Cosplaying Tsukishiro Yanagi this time, the focus was on recreating that blend of capable efficiency and intellectual charm. The color of the wig took a long time to blend, finally choosing a pinkish sakura hue. The layering of the hair strands was handled meticulously, and the curvature of the bangs and sideburns was repeatedly adjusted to stay as true as possible to the in-game splash art. Glasses are one of the character's defining accessories; I chose a half-rim, thin metallic style, which not only flatters the face shape but also highlights the focused intensity of the gaze.
For the costume, the white shirt was custom-patterned to give the shoulders a crisp, structured look. The black velvet bowtie at the neckline and the strap details on the cuffs were all recreated one by one. The outer teal vest is printed with the 'Te' (Special) insignia and the 'H.S.O.S.S.' logo, while the metal buckles on the waistband and belt went through an antiquing process. Combined with the gloves and the overall color scheme, I wanted to present Tsukishiro Yanagi's professional aura as a member of the Section 6 (Hollow Special Operations Section 6).
During the shoot, we specifically chose a background featuring industrial pipes and metallic textures to match the urban wasteland style of Zenless Zone Zero. The makeup wasn't overly dramatic or heavy, emphasizing instead a translucent finish. Paired with pink eyeshadow and a natural lip color, the overall look feels much closer to the character design.
A lot of heart went into this cosplay outfit from initial patterning to the final shoot, especially regarding the accuracy of the accessories. I hope to present a Tsukishiro Yanagi who is calm, professional, and carries a touch of mystery in front of the lens. In the world of Zenless Zone Zero, she always handles every situation with composure. Doing this cosplay is my way of paying tribute to the character.
