When I received this Sanfen Wangxiang Hiyuki cosplay set, the hefty feel of the parcel was a delightful surprise. Unpacking the clear bags covering the sofa in Photo 2 and checking off each accessory piece by piece, the real texture far exceeded my expectations. Today, I finally carved out time for a proper Try-on haul at home—from the inner layer to the outer skirt, assembling all those complex leather buckles and metal pendants took a solid half hour. Although putting it on was somewhat tedious, the moment I saw the whole look in the mirror, all the hassle felt entirely worthwhile.

Let's talk about the silhouette and fabrics first. The main body of the top is crafted from a crisp, structured fabric with a subtle sheen, unlike the thin, wrinkle-prone ordinary materials on the market. It provides exceptional support on the body. The neckline features an asymmetrical off-the-shoulder cut that gracefully reveals the neck and collarbone lines, cleanly bordered by crisp black trim for a sharp visual finish. The sleeves are undoubtedly my favorite design highlight: remarkably wide hanging sleeves overflowing with traditional Japanese aesthetics, while the back of the sleeves features large spliced sections of red translucent mesh printed with delicate golden geometric grid patterns. The white base, layered red mesh, and peeking skin tones create phenomenal depth. Ruby-like decorative pendants hang from the cuffs; though they add some weight, they sway gorgeously with every gesture, creating fantastic dynamic beauty.

The waist structure is the soul of the entire set and the most flattering part of the tailoring. It uses a complex corset-like design interlaced with black leather straps and metal adjusting buckles, which not only cinches the waist but also injects a rugged techwear vibe. Because the bottom is a voluminous red-and-black skirt with a high slit, the visual center of gravity would easily drag downward without this waist cinch; with it, however, the waistline is firmly locked right beneath the ribs, elongating the lower body proportions to look tall and striking. The high slit is daring, edged with black trim, and taking even a slight step during try-on allows the leg line to show naturally, balancing flowy elegance with allure. The draping purple patterned fabric in the back creates a bold, harmonious contrast against the red and white front.

Regarding accessories and styling choices: for the try-on in Photo 1, I wore clear wedge sandals. The transparent upper minimizes visual distraction from the costume's color palette, while the wedge provides solid support for the long skirt hem, boosting height to make the high slit look even better. The wig hasn't been permanently styled yet, but during the try-on, I felt a high ponytail or a clean, layered short haircut would suit the crisp, dashing aura of this outfit best. There are so many intricate details—Photo 2 shows a pile of metal pendants and harnesses that I will carefully adjust to match the official illustrations during the formal shoot.

The only slight regret is the timing. While comic cons were packed during the National Day holiday, the Japanese design elements made me hesitant to wear it out then. But that's alright—great outfits are worth the wait. My sights are now set on the New Year's Day event, and over the coming months of convention preparation, I will refine the props and wig styling to perfection.
