For this Cheerleader cosplay shoot, every piece from wig to goggles to gloves was personally hand-adjusted. Especially that plush earmuff—to stay true to character settings, I specially hand-sewed an inner lining so it wouldn't collapse even when worn for a long time. On shoot day, the metal chains on set were real iron chains, heavy and cold; but it was precisely this Industrial style set that pulled the dramatic Stage photography tension of \"trapped in a cage yet yearning to break free\" to its absolute peak.
The pose raising the metal bowl in the first shot was actually meant to simulate a tapping rhythm, combining with the overall styling to give the image more dynamic vitality. The seated posture in the second shot is my personal favorite—hands resting on knees, index finger lightly touching the chin, eyes needing no forced fierce glare, just carrying that calm attitude of \"I dare to stare down anything.\" The purple-red side lighting the photographer set up was brilliant, outlining edges along my hair and goggles, leaking a hint of rebellion through cool tones.
Selecting materials for this costume also required meticulous thought. The jacket's fur collar used faux fur that felt soft without shedding; the inner high-neck crop top used stretchy spandex, facilitating large movements without pinching the waist. To recreate the original design's panel color blocking on the pants, I specially sourced heavy-duty cargo fabric and hand-embedded the side metal rings, which clicked softly as I walked. The boots were custom platform models with high-grip tread patterns, preventing slipping even when standing directly on chains.
Throughout the shooting process, controlling the positions of chains was the trickiest part. Certain shots required gripping chains with one hand while holding props with the other, all while maintaining precise body angles—taking dozens of frames to select a single satisfying picture. But once the final Cosplay photoshoot set came out, that interwoven texture of metal and fabric, blended with hypnotic purple lighting, truly exceeded expectations. This shoot was a dual test of my crafting skills and expressive capacity, giving me deeper empathy for the character—not every character lives under the sun, but the courage to face the darkness head-on is precisely what draws me most to this outfit.
