This Lappland styling paired with the dual red-and-purple background studio truly nailed the character's manic frenzy. Friends familiar with me know that my persona this time was Lappland getting annoyed with the photoshoot and deciding to demolish the studio. Because the photographer kept making me pose in awkward ways, and the lighting never hit my longest leg properly, I kicked over a floor stand and started my Daily house-wrecking routine.
We specifically alternated between red and purple backdrops, as the contrast between red and purple set off this slightly perilous atmosphere wonderfully. However, shooting in a red studio is quite challenging—reflections from a red background easily give the skin a red cast, so we had to be very careful with key light angles and reflector fills when lighting. This time, I wore black over-the-knee boots paired with Black stockings. To capture the best moments of the leg contours, I practically bent my leg at a right angle across the equipment rack. Look at that photo where I'm reclining: that leg had to be held straight resting atop scattered photography gear. It was an exhausting posture with my left ankle suspended and bearing weight, but I gritted my teeth and held it for those alluring leg curves.
The photographer kept complaining, saying the 30C light tube in my hand was quite expensive and I'd have to pay if I dropped it again. Seeing him panic only made me play even harder. Since the theme was house wrecking, I grabbed his EOS R6 camera as well, aiming it back at him to capture his expression of total despair.
We treated the set directly as a storage room, scattering reflectors, light stands, black-and-orange striped poles, and large ring lights haphazardly on the floor. This ruined, chaotic aesthetic was created intentionally; the authentic studio clutter held much more dramatic tension than an artificially pristine backdrop. In that side-profile shot glancing back sideways, I had to master the angle of swinging my cape, which, alongside the mechanical hardware on the floor, gave the whole frame an unruly sense of motion. Meanwhile, the standing pose leaning against the panel in the purple studio looked calmer—less aggressive, yet perfectly fitting someone commanding the scene amidst the rubble.
The entire Studio shooting process was genuinely chaotic: I had to watch out for dust on my skirt hem and tall boots while balancing the long pole in hand. Furthermore, to complement the theme, I specifically highlighted the leg styling—the texture of the Black stockings reflected a gorgeous sheen under the studio lighting. Throughout the shoot, my mock-angry expression almost froze, but that gritted-teeth, provocative smirk in the final photos matched the lore best. A fine studio was thoroughly turned into a demolition site by me, making this a fully immersive experience spanning makeup, styling, and location shooting.
