For this fan-made succubus spin-off styling of Raiden Shogun, matching fabric textures and tailoring was our main priority right from the prep stage. The black mini dress was crafted from a stretch fabric with a subtle sheen, ensuring it hugged the silhouette snugly under various convention lighting setups without appearing dull or heavy. The blue-purple ornaments and pink ribbon bow across the chest served as the visual focal point; the tightness of the strappy ties required repeated fine-tuning so they wouldn't shift during broad, dynamic motions. The demon wings mounted on the back carry noticeable heft; to preserve their crisp, flared silhouette, hidden harness straps were used so the curvature wouldn't sag whether sitting down or standing up.

Styling the Black stockings and thigh garters also involved a lot of thought. This time, I selected sheer Black stockings paired with a black thigh strap on the left leg, visually elongating the leg contours. Walking around the busy convention floor frequently risks snagging stockings, so the edges and interiors of my shoes were treated with anti-slip and anti-friction lining. The platform high heels wrapped in magenta satin ribbons not only enriched the layered aesthetic but also offered crucial stability while holding poses. Though wearing them for hours was physically demanding, shifting my standing balance toward the balls of my feet kept leg muscle lines toned and sculpted before the lens.

The massive greatsword was the absolute centerpiece prop. Given its large dimensions and the lighting effects added later in post-processing, wielding it in person required genuine arm strength. For seated poses, finding the right angle to rest the sword with one or both hands using the armrest as leverage kept the composition grounded. When posing standing with the sword raised, tightening the core and dropping the shoulders kept the posture from looking stiff.

The venue at the Changchun ChinaJoy convention was spacious, but crowded with roaming attendees. Capturing convention snapshots puts quick timing and angle-hunting skills to the test. We favored peripheral corners and areas with translucent natural lighting, opening the aperture wide to melt away background crowds and isolate the subject. The ambient venue lighting was complex with harsh overhead lights, requiring reflectors or fill lights to illuminate my face and prevent unflattering shadows beneath the eye sockets and jawline.

While honoring Raiden Shogun's inherent majesty, this fan-made succubus design infused a seductive, alluring flair. From the tension of sitting cross-legged on a high stool to the fierce intensity of brandishing the greatsword, every take sought to reveal another facet of her character. The makeup was also dialed in, deepening the magenta eyeshadow blending to harmonize with the deep purple wig for richer depth on camera. Convention shoots move at a lightning pace, so locking in poise and expression within just a few minutes was the ultimate test of all my prior practice.
