[Remielle cosplay] Grand Release of Convention Photos from CM108 Day 2

The scene on the second day of CM108 was even livelier than the first, with a noticeable surge in foot traffic. Fortunately, the weather was wonderful and the lighting soft—perfect for taking clear, transparent outdoor shots. Cosplaying Remielle this time, I was caught by photographers for shoots right from the moment I entered the venue in the morning until the afternoon session wrapped up. Although my legs were a bit sore, that feeling of immersing myself in a look I love is truly addicting in this Anime convention cosplay.

This costume actually had a tremendous amount of thought poured into its details. The black velvet spliced fabric has a wonderful tactile feel, but easily catches dust, so I meticulously cleaned it with a lint roller several times before heading out. The zipper and silver bell on the chest serve as the visual focal point of the outfit, chiming softly with movement, though the bustling convention noise drowned it out. The black leather buckles, metal rings, and semi-sheer mesh on the sleeves brought out the dark allure of a Gothic style girl without feeling overly heavy, remaining reasonably breathable indoors during summer. What satisfied me most were the asymmetrical fabric streamer decorations on the back, which billowed out with the wind, adding dynamic energy to the photos.

Regarding the hairstyle and makeup, I selected a vibrant pink wig. The red-and-black bow atop the head and white star hairpins were true to original lore, and I added an extra pair of black hairpins to balance the color palette. Eye makeup featured red contact lenses echoing the character's eye color, accented with a light dusting of glitter to give my gaze sharper focus. To highlight the pointed elf ears, I secured them with skin-toned tape; while they stayed firmly in place, prolonged wear caused slight redness behind the ears, but luckily I could take them off to relax between takes.

Huge thanks to the photographers for their patience. With stanchions and luggage scattered around the venue perimeter, they constantly hunted for clean angles to avoid pedestrians while keeping the background tidy. In the full-body shot in Photo 3 in particular, light happened to strike from the upper side, crisping up the texture of the Black stockings outfit. In truth, wearing sheer black stockings with leg garters is a very comfortable choice at conventions—slimming without digging in, and paired with a miniskirt, it flatters leg lines so well that many fellow fans asked for the link.

The most joyful part of any anime convention is always trading selfie stamps and meeting friends. On the second day, I ran into many online acquaintances and recognized fellow cosplayers; snapping photos together in front of the booths created an irreplaceable atmosphere. Some attendees politely asked for photos together, and as long as they were respectful, I was always happy to oblige, as that's a cherished part of convention culture. There was a minor hiccup when my bell strap accidentally hooked onto the zipper of a nearby suitcase, taking quite a while to untangle. I hurriedly checked the costume for tears, and luckily only the metal ring was slightly bent.

Sorting through the pictures during Photography delivery, I realized that minor imperfections I obsess over in the mirror are often softened or reframed through a photographer's lens, so mindset is everything. For someone who frequently cosplays, I believe 100% fidelity isn't the sole goal—what matters more is the confidence when wearing the outfit and the genuine resonance with the camera. Opting for a softer lip tint rather than bold red made the overall makeup cleaner, better matching the character's persona.

Every convention wrap-up brings fresh inspiration, such as how to adjust the wig trim next time or add custom-designed charms. Outfit maintenance is equally vital: upon returning home, wiping down metal hardware with damp wipes prevents oxidation before hanging the garment to breathe. These habits develop steadily across multiple cosplay outings—though time-consuming, seeing the finished photos makes every second worthwhile.

CM108 was definitely one of the most fulfilling conventions of the first half of the year. Two days were exhausting, but my phone is packed with hundreds of photos documenting every moment.
