Getting straight to the point, this Zenless Zone Zero Remielle cosplay took quite a long span from preparation to execution. From contacting the makeup artist and preparing wigs to custom-making two entirely different costumes with white and black wings, it took roughly more than half a month in total. Happening right around the time of the Zenless Zone Zero 2nd Anniversary and the Zenless Zone Zero Creator Incentive Program, I felt it was the perfect time to present this long-brewing project to all players who love this character and game. I titled this theme 'A Long Goodbye' because I wanted to capture on camera the character's complex nature—like the intertwining of day and night, light and shadow.
Let's start with the pure white angel style in the first photo, which represents the idealized side within. That day in the studio, I wore a light pink short wig with layered ends on one side, paired with light blue star hairpins and dark thin hair accessories that brought out just the right amount of youthful charm. The outfit's base color is pure white, but rich in material contrasts: a choker with a bow at the collar, detached sleeves on the arms, and a pair of huge white feathered wings spread across the back. To capture an ethereal atmosphere, the lighting engineer provided widespread soft light to preserve both the white feather layers and the light blue-purple gradient of the skirt, testing the coordination between on-site lighting and post-processing. The lower body featured semi-sheer white stockings tied with white ribbon bows at the thighs, paired with silver high heels, all set among white carved chairs, pale purple drapes, and surrounding flowers to create a sacred yet delicate visual experience.
Next, take a look at the completely different black-winged demon look in the second photo, corresponding to the more mysterious and dangerous side of her personality. When changing, I switched to a black-based outfit from top to bottom. Built on black patent leather, the top features semi-transparent black mesh spliced at the arms, retaining feminine gentleness while adding a touch of rebellious flair. The white lapel collar is detailed with black straps and ring pendants, and the back is fitted with sharp, blade-like black wings. Combined with the dark purple velvet sofa in the studio, specially decorated with red roses and dark petals scattered across the floor, the environment instantly pulls viewers into a gorgeous, gothic, and dangerously alluring atmosphere. The lower body is styled with semi-sheer black stockings, black patent leather high heels, and garter rings, beautifully elongating the leg contours. The lighting contrast for this set was turned up significantly, focusing rim light and reflections on the textures of the black patent leather and stockings to give the dark style a richly durable feel.
Across both sets of photos, I did my best to match the dual state, outfit combinations, as well as posture and atmosphere control with the highly contrasting worldview of New Eridu in Zenless Zone Zero. Regarding costume and prop styling, I paid special attention to every small strap, bow, and overall color coordination. During the shoot, to capture exact momentary expressions, I tried numerous angles while kneeling and sitting. Comparing the two photos reveals many subtle details crafted with care. Throughout the Zenless Zone Zero 2nd Anniversary Creator Incentive Program, being able to present this character with such a dual-sided look feels deeply meaningful to me. I hope this meticulously polished Cosplay photography allows everyone who sees it to feel the indescribable, magical charm of this character.
