Today happens to be the last day of the holiday. Taking advantage of the day off at home, I finally organized this set of Remielle cosplay photos from Zenless Zone Zero. Actually, quite a lot of prep went into making this photo shoot a success. This Patent leather corset and pleated skirt set felt remarkably heavy when I first unboxed it, boasting a wonderfully stiff and crisp texture, though that also meant restricted mobility once worn. The white bow tie on the chest featuring a metallic star serves as the finishing touch; getting it secured in just the right spot required multiple trials to hit the most comfortable angle. A translucent black overshirt created an ethereal, veil-like cover over my arms, subtly softening the innate aggressiveness of the Patent leather material. Combined with the short pink hair and the black horn accessories atop my head, the character's silhouette snapped into sharp focus instantly.
Makeup-wise, the eye styling deliberately emphasized contouring depth, and paired with a black choker, the overall aura leaned cool and stunningly fierce. Yet before the lens, I wanted to project a relaxed state of being, avoiding overly exaggerated expressions. The shoot's setting was styled warmly; white sheer curtains, a plush fluffy rug on the floor, and cute big-eyed throw pillows nearby infused the frames with a cozy, lived-in touch. The purple-pink mood lighting casting across the Patent leather generated gorgeous specular highlights, though such lighting severely tests skin texture clarity. To render the final edits cleaner, I experimented extensively with lighting setups before settling on a top-down light combined with rim side lighting—this simultaneously sculpted facial contours and made the reflective materials look remarkably upscale.
The lower half paired a black pleated skirt with star-patterned accents, accompanied by thigh garter straps that naturally drew visual focus toward the legs. This time, I chose glossy-textured Black stockings matched with red-bottom heels; shot from a low angle, the leg lines were beautifully elongated. While viewers might see a relaxed posture sitting comfortably on a stool in the final photos, maintaining that pose actually required constant core engagement, with my insteps held tautly straight. Capturing the delicate sheen of the stockings demanded high fluidity in movement, as even a hint of stiffness would look unnatural. During close-up takes, the high heels scattered loosely across the carpet alongside the long black rod prop introduced a casual, effortless touch to the frames.
Wearing this outfit is indeed quite restrictive, especially given the corset design, which required me to pause and regulate my breathing midway through the shoot. Yet before the lens, once the lights flickered on and I watched the images on the camera monitor inch closer to perfection, all prior exhaustion simply melted away. Remielle is an inherently charismatic character, so during the Game cosplay process, the goal was not merely to replicate the wardrobe, but to convey an attitude of balanced ease through body language. This photo set intentionally avoided overly complex backdrops, aiming simply to chronicle a quiet, relaxing moment at the tail end of the holidays. Whether gaming or snapping photos, being wholly immersed in things you love is in itself a wonderful form of rest.
