The pure white carousel and this dark gothic styling formed a strong visual collision. This time, to perfectly present Remielle's unique temperament, a lot of effort was put into the clothing and props. The top adopted a spliced design of a black leather corset and translucent gray-purple tulle, which not only highlights body curves but also adds a touch of mystery. The silver zipper on the chest, the black leather straps, and the white star-shaped bow tie enrich the overall sense of layering. The flared design of the cuffs and the strap elements at the wrists also highly restore the character's original setting. In terms of styling matching, to break the dullness brought by a large area of black, white four-pointed star patterns were specially added at the hem as embellishments, echoing the star-shaped elements of the collar.
The wig uses a bright pink bob. To neutralize the overly vibrant hair color, a huge black-and-red bow hair accessory and a four-pointed star hair clip in the center of the forehead were specially matched. In terms of makeup, the focus was strengthened on the eye makeup, using red-pink contact lenses, paired with upturned eyeliner and red lip glaze, trying to capture the character's dangerous yet charming expression. The black artificial feather wings behind are the difficult part of this styling. To keep the wings crisp and structured during shooting, multi-layer skeleton support was made internally. Although the weight is not light, the tension presented in front of the lens is very worthwhile. The translucent sleeves covering the arms have a certain light-transmitting effect under the sunlight, which can well soften the arm lines. In addition, the lower body is matched with a black high-slit skirt, star decorations, black stockings, and glossy high heels, which overall elongates the leg proportions and makes the expression of actions more flexible.
The sunlight was very abundant on the shooting day, and the venue was chosen at an outdoor carousel. This bright environment happened to clearly showcase the material texture of the clothing. Among this set of photos, my favorites are the ones sitting on the wooden horse holding the pillar. The entire shooting process greatly tested core strength, because I had to try to keep my body upright while taking care of the placement of the skirt hem and the extension of the leg lines. Hand movements were also adjusted multiple times; whether it was the index finger gently touching the lips or holding the railing, it was all to create a lazy yet slightly aggressive atmosphere. During shooting, I tried my best to immerse myself in the set emotion, imagining the determination and confidence behind the line "I am willing to help you become king". The completion of the entire cosplay is inseparable from the early analysis of character traits and the control of status during shooting. Every set of photos is a brand new attempt and breakthrough, hoping to showcase the character's charm through this set of photos.
Reviewing this set of photos again, whether it is the application of light and shadow or the choices in composition, it well highlights the main character subject and clothing details. Although there is still room for improvement in some places, the overall presented effect makes me very satisfied with this role-playing. In the future, I will continue to delve into makeup styling and props to bring more high-quality works.
