Bringing the Sony A7M5 and 28-70mm lens to the Beijing Anime Convention for this Remielle shoot resulted in remarkable shooting efficiency. The second-anniversary creator incentive buzz for Zenless Zone Zero was vibrant, with fellow fans everywhere in the hall. The A7M5's autofocus remained rock-solid even in the dim hall lighting, and the 28-70mm focal range proved incredibly handy in such a crowded, chaotic setting—flawlessly transitioning between half-body close-ups and wide, wing-inclusive full-body frames, with edge-to-edge sharpness that saved significant retouching effort.

Remielle's costume is packed with details: the white-and-blue form-fitting corset, metallic buckles, and hanging tassels feel exceptionally premium. The pointed ears and star-shaped forehead accessory placed high demands on the wig styling; both the pink streak highlights and the flow of hair strands had to be meticulously groomed. While the white feathered wings on my back were relatively lightweight, their wide span made it challenging to look naturally effortless and airy on camera. To complement the wings, I chose white over-the-knee stockings and white high heels, elongating my leg lines while matching that holy yet subtly alluring aesthetic.

During the live shoot, capturing the illusion of floating mid-air required repeated jumping while keeping my core tightly engaged. Taking off and landing on convention flooring in high heels demanded immense care to maintain balance, but fortunately, the photographer nailed the timing. The floating feathers and sparkling starlight particles throughout the shots were achieved through a blend of live lighting and post-production particle overlays, giving each frame a rich touch of magic.

The trickiest part of hovering poses lies in extending the arms naturally while finding the right bend in the legs. The arms must convey an effortless upward lift without stiffening. To ensure the chest cutout and waist strapping shone before the lens, I angled my body several times so my collarbones and waistline remained clearly defined without exposing the wing rig. The side crisscross ties and ribbons fluttered easily with each step and jump, requiring frequent readjustments.

The real joy of convention photos lies in unpredictable ambient light and bustling crowds. Although the venue background was filled with industrial steel trusses, deliberate lighting created a captivating contrast between cyberpunk grit and fantasy charm. Before the shoot, I studied the in-game motions to ensure my stances felt aggressive yet elegant. The compression at the 70mm end of the 28-70mm lens highlighted the expansive wings, while the wide aperture softened the messy background, drawing full focus to the wardrobe and stockings cosplay textures.

The convention shoot went exceptionally smoothly, and this look featuring wings and elf ears drew plenty of attention at the venue. From hair, makeup, and costume craftsmanship to seamless collaboration with the photographer, every element demanded precise control. The color science of the Sony A7M5 suited this dreamy pink, white, and blue palette perfectly; the out-of-camera skin tones looked clear and translucent, making it effortless to dial in the intended atmosphere with minor contrast and highlight tweaks.
