Many fellow enthusiasts had previously asked about the specific details of this Maid outfit and the scene construction, so taking advantage of this photo release, I'd like to share the shoot's process and reflections with you all.

The set built at HoYo Wonderful House matched the visual aesthetic of Zenless Zone Zero exceptionally well—red brick walls paired with warm amber ambient lighting evoked a vintage urban texture. The props displayed in the scene were meticulously curated: an antique red rotary telephone, a retro portable typewriter, vintage coffee cups, and miniature cupcakes on the tabletop. These detailed elements brought rich narrative depth into a single frame. The character I portrayed this time was Rina, who possesses a distinct contrast—she wears an elegant and cute Maid outfit, while simultaneously projecting the sharpness and efficiency of a tactical operative.

To recreate this aura, great care was taken in the tailoring of this Maid outfit. The top adopts classic black, red, and white color-blocking, featuring crisscrossing red cords across the chest, complemented by white ruffles along the collar and cuffs true to standard maid dress elements. Concurrently, the arms feature tough black leather long sleeves with strapped metallic ring buckles at the forearms; this fusion of softness and rigidity perfectly captures her persona. The waist accessories are another highlight: below the grey belt hang several conical metallic warhead props, where silver metallic tips meet crimson bases, lining the waist with realistic weight and exuding a restrained sense of tactical intimidation on camera.

For gloves, I wore long black leather gloves, uniquely accented with prominent red dots over every knuckle. This eye-catching design creates a bold focal point when wielding tactical firearms. Hairstyle-wise, I used a light flaxen short bob wig; to capture her naturally fluffy yet subtly tousled hair, we repeatedly trimmed the bang length and layering so they fell just between the brows and eyes. Paired with crimson contact lenses and earth-toned eyeshadow, I strove to express her calm composure with a hint of lazy ease in this Rina cosplay.

During the shoot, the photographer and I explored diverse poses and compositions. In the first photo, lightly touching my lips with one hand while gazing directly into the lens captured the head maid's poise and subtle playfulness. The low-angle shot aiming the long firearm amplified her combat nature, where the photographer cleanly captured the sharp focus in my eyes. My favorites remain the shots standing before the retro prop table—such as lifting the red rotary telephone receiver with one hand or holding a coffee cup and saucer with both hands. Combining routine maid duties with hardcore tactical gear demands conscious relaxation in posture: neither clutching the weapon too rigidly nor abandoning the grace of the Maid outfit, striking a seamless balance between both worlds.

For hair and makeup, given the strong color contrast of the costume, we deliberately intensified the lip shade and eye contours to ensure facial three-dimensionality was preserved under the lighting. The on-set lighting was very refined: warm side-backlighting hit the light golden wig, giving the strands a textured, soft halo while keeping the skin base translucent. During styling, we continuously adjusted the direction of the bangs, as short hair is easily affected by static and movement, using hairspray on set to lock the style in place for every frame.

Overall, cosplaying Rina at HoYo Wonderful House was a very enjoyable experience. The set construction not only visually reproduced the in-game atmosphere, but the high-quality props allowed me to immerse myself in character quickly. The mix-and-match style of a Maid outfit paired with tactical weapons offers rich visual layers in real-world settings, serving wonderfully for official portfolio showcases and personal keepsakes alike.
