For this Touhou Project Remilia cosplay outfit, a lot of thought went into it starting from selecting the fabrics. The light blue shoulder-length wig needed to be trimmed to a natural curve, and the bangs were specially given a slight curl to fit the lines of the forehead, avoiding a stiff look. The huge pink ruffled soft hat on top of the head is the focal point of the overall styling; the fabric comes with faint red vertical stripes, and delicate white lace is sewn along the edges. To maintain the three-dimensional feel of the hat, internal support needed to be prepared in advance. In terms of clothing, the overall look is a combination of pink and dark red. The collar is composed of multi-layered pleated fabric and white lace, and the chest is decorated with a striking dark red bow fabric. Right in the center of the collar is pinned that vintage dark red gemstone brooch, surrounded by a golden frame and detailed carving, and the clothes are also dotted with small red roses and lace trims, making the overall style extremely gorgeous. To ensure the wearing effect, the inner petticoat needed to be adjusted to a proper curvature so that the skirt hem of the Lolita fashion could naturally spread out. In terms of makeup, to fit the setting of the vampire young lady, I wore reddish-brown enlarging contact lenses. For the eye makeup part, red and pink eyeshadows were used for a large-area blending on the lower eyelid, paired with thick and curled false eyelashes, and the outer corners of the eyes were deepened to make the gaze look more profound. The base makeup required a clean and translucent look to highlight the color of the eye makeup. The lips used a natural light pink lip glaze with blurred edges. When shooting this set of photos, due to the relatively large volume of the hat, when taking selfies, the phone needed to be raised slightly and the lens pressed down slightly to capture both the details of the hat and the clothing into the frame at the same time. The indoor lighting was relatively soft, and I adjusted the orientation of my face so that the light fell evenly on my face, avoiding shadows left by the hat on the face. The first photo retains the most primitive state of the makeup and clothing, while the second photo added some hand-drawn lines and fangs special effects in post-processing, adding a little playful feel. Overall, the layering of this outfit is very rich, and the metallic texture of the hair accessories and brooch also needs to find a good reflection angle during shooting. The hair strands of the wig are relatively smooth, but before shooting, a flat iron needs to be used slightly to add a bit of fluffiness, avoiding sticking to the scalp. Multiple adjustments to the shoulder lines and collar positions of the clothing ensured that the lace and bows were at the best display angle. The effect of the final photos basically met my expectations for this styling, showcasing both the character's temperament and the gorgeous sense of the clothing.
