[Rem cosplay] Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-: Warm Memories of a Winter Christmas Lamb

The focus of this photoshoot was recreating the soft, fluffy atmosphere and Winter outfit details of a winter lamb. The costume featured an off-the-shoulder top in white plush texture, while the lower half was paired with striped Pink stockings, whose color worked wonderfully to balance the red backdrop. The blue short hair and white earmuffs served as the core of the styling, and the golden bell hanging from a slender cord echoed the theme nicely. Photographer Master Bajiao set up a rich Christmas scene, including a red wall covered with decorations, carpets on the floor, a Christmas tree beside, as well as a large snowman cushion and surrounding haystacks in front. The lighting was very soft during the shoot, making the entire visual feel rich and full alongside the scattered hanging ornaments in the background.

The shoot mainly involved sitting on the mat, which naturally displayed the texture of the leg warmers and the drape of the clothes. Hand poses mainly focused on holding the bell in front of the chest to look obedient and cute. The makeup was a light, casual everyday style without heavy embellishment, primarily relying on the contrast of the blue short hair to highlight overall brightness. The lighting ratio between the ambient environment and the face was well-balanced, and post-processing was kept straightforward, mainly restoring the true texture of the plush fabrics and background colors. Shooting such a themed set in winter felt exceptionally fitting, and the piled props gave the composition an enveloping sense of warmth.

The shooting process was relatively relaxing because the poses were natural without complex, high-difficulty gymnastics, relying mainly on expressions and eye contact to convey the feeling. This cozy, homey style was smooth to shoot, starkly different from previous fierce combat styles. The character design from Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- is inherently recognizable; remixing it with plush fabrics and Christmas cosplay elements sparked a unique new vibe. To capture that obedient yet shy essence of the little lamb, managing the gaze and level camera angles was crucial, which we accomplished seamlessly with this sitting posture and the bell in hand. The costumes and props were thoroughly prepared—especially the snowman doll on the floor and the red-and-green palette in the background, keeping the overall tones clean and cohesive. Sitting among the Christmas tree and haystacks allowed great use of foreground objects to enhance depth, which was a compositional detail Master Bajiao placed great emphasis on during this shoot.
