This shoot attempted a sculpted, artistic mode of expression, relying primarily on upfront lighting and prop arrangements. A lot of prep work went into planning this combination of Rem's white formal dress with a black suitcase. The costume fabric is a lustrous subtle-jacquard weave, featuring exquisite gold-trim line flow and complex strap and neckline-bow structures that required meticulous adjustment when dressing to ensure nothing came undone during movement. The blue-to-purple gradient of the wig looked very translucent under strong lights, while the blue colored contacts directly defined the overall demeanor. The makeup also complemented the character's personality, using a clear base and slightly cool-toned eyeshadow to highlight an aura of Elegance and aloof detachment.
The full-body pose was refined through repeated adjustments with the photographer. Sitting on the black suitcase, using the Leg garter and High heels to elongate leg lines while letting body curves stretch out naturally. This pose actually demanded quite a bit of core strength, as keeping the upper body upright without appearing stiff was challenging. Resting a single finger lightly against my chin added a touch of dynamic harmony while maintaining a cool, piercing gaze. The "RPS" lettering and caster wheel details on the suitcase authentically conveyed the prop's texture, serving as crucial visual anchors to balance the overall composition. This outfit has strict demands on body lines, so I did some stretching beforehand.
The half-body close-up primarily tested makeup and eye expression. The photographer used large softboxes to make skin texture look exceptionally clean and translucent. The gold and silver threads on the garment produced delicate reflections under specific incident angles, which tested fundamental timing when capturing shots. Pinpoint precision in lighting subtly highlighted the bust contour and cut-out designs without looking forced, preserving the character's serene Elegance.
Regarding prop placement, we tested several angles in the studio before settling on this position, which completely revealed the leg lines while providing a clear visual center of gravity. The stiletto heels of the High heels and the metallic luster of the Leg garter performed excellently under studio lighting, which, paired with the lace trim on the skirt hem, created an impeccably clean and sleek visual effect. The angle of the Leg garter was also fine-tuned to ensure it didn't pinch the skin when seated.
The shooting process involved numerous adjustments—from skirt pleating and bow orientation to highlight management and lighting angles. During the formal shoot, the photographer guided me on utilizing lens perspective to enhance leg length, while meticulously handling creases around the collar and waist. Post-processing focused mainly on unifying skin tones and cleaning up the background, preserving the garment's authentic fabric texture as much as possible. The shoot was physically exhausting—maintaining smooth leg lines and an upright posture requires real stamina—but the process was thoroughly enjoyable. As a cosplayer, putting heart into recreating that sense of Elegance, confidence, and cool detachment, and bringing these details to life, is truly rewarding.
