The Convention photos for this Demon Form Rem look are finally out, and the convention day was pure physical labor. The equipment itself was very heavy, not to mention navigating through the crowded venue to find shooting spots. First is the makeup and styling: the key focus of the Demon Form Rem state lies in the red curse marks on the face and the single horn on the head. To make the markings closer to the texture of the original design, instead of simple stickers, I layered varying shades of red eyeshadow and carefully blended the edges so they looked like blood marks seeping through the skin. The light blue wig paired with pink hair accessories produced beautiful highlights under natural light, though it tangled easily and required constant combing on site. Combining the blue contacts with red eyeliner instantly brought out that cold, slightly dangerous aura. The outfit was this black-and-white maid dress; the chest lace frills, black bow, and off-the-shoulder detached sleeves showcased collarbone lines while retaining the cute delicacy of a maid outfit. The skirt featured black-and-white wavy folds, paired with classic over-the-knee white stockings for this White tights cosplay. These white tights had an exceptional texture under the light filtering through the venue's glass skylights, beautifully defining leg lines and fabric textures to look remarkably slender. Of course, safety precautions were taken underneath for ease of movement. Most notable were the props: the thick iron chain and the giant spiked morningstar. Holding them was not only heavy but had a cold metallic feel; posing really drained arm strength, which is why I eventually chose to sit directly on the reflective floor. Heavy as it was, this contrast in vibe produced great results. We specifically chose a spot with ample natural light, and the photographer guided me through various angles and expressions. At first, pointing the weapon toward the camera showed aggression and chilling intensity; later on, I simply relaxed and sat down to rest, folding my hands in a gentle, poised posture—unexpectedly, this contrast between elegance and heavy firepower received even more praise. Passersby inevitably wandered into convention scenes, but wide-aperture lenses nicely blurred the background, highlighting the subject. Although wearing the wig caused a full day of sweating and the props made my hands ache, conveying the character's spirit through the photos brought an irreplaceable sense of satisfaction from the 2D world, making this photoshoot truly unforgettable.
