This set of photos primarily aims to restore Reze's trait of mixing a slice-of-life feel with a dangerous aura from Chainsaw Man. A lot of thought went into the makeup and styling details; the purple wig was trimmed with lightweight wispy layers. To perfectly match the character's charm, I selected several green contact lenses before achieving this clear, eye-catching purple hair, green eyes visual effect. The black off-the-shoulder top paired with a thin choker featuring a metal ring, complemented by black semi-translucent tights and pointed-toe patent leather high heelsāthis overall black-themed style and cosplay outfit beautifully highlights the character's sharp look and sleek lines.
During the shoot, a red-brown velvet curtain was specially chosen as the background. Coordinated with the indoor warm light, I hoped to create a slightly retro and gentle sense of envelopment. The bouquet of small white flowers in hand was freshly picked from a florist before the shoot; this seemingly casual yet pure accent perfectly matches the lingering sliver of innocence in the background of her personality.
Combining that line in the post, "Actually, I've never gone to school either," allowed me to instantly grasp the true core of this character. This temperament that feels as though it doesn't belong to any established track, carrying a sense of drifting, is precisely what I wanted to capture the most. Therefore, in terms of posture, I didn't intentionally strike over-combative or exaggeratedly cute poses, but casually bent my knees to sit and lean like in the images, or held the small flowers while quietly looking at the lens, and even blocked my face with my phone to search for that detached yet mysterious atmosphere.
Image 2 serving as the cover perfectly displays the facial expressions and the details of the green eyes; that slightly relaxed smile and casually scattered hair strands are the epitome of this character in the Chainsaw Man universe as I understand it. The entire photoset underwent light soft-focus filter processing in post, allowing the skin texture, hair sheen, and the contrast between the clothing's matte finish and patent leather reflections to present a rich layer of depth. Although a touch of glowing special effects was added at certain angles, the overall result still tries to preserve the natural feel of authentic photography as much as possible, without ruining her inherent coolness and charm. I hope this photoset can transmit that charm of being full of life's mundane warmth yet completely out of place with her surroundingsāthis is the Reze cosplay that I understand and present.
