This custom wedding dress for Reze is the concretization of another possibility based on the character's original tone in Chainsaw Man. Compared to a simple everyday outfit, the bride cosplay theme endows the character with more fragility and an imagery of wanting to be redeemed. Considering the keywords "custom design" and "wife," I deliberately avoided the original combat-oriented sharpness in this shoot, instead using a large amount of pure white lace, tulle, and decorative ribbons to express that private and gentle sense of ritual.

Let's talk about the costume concept first. The main piece chosen is a white camisole corset top; the front lacing and exquisite lace subtle patterns beautifully highlight the character's body curves while maintaining elegance. The semi-transparent lace veil on the head is the soul of the entire look, with lace borders and white bowknots visually widening the horizontal proportion and naturally framing the face shape. The matching long lace gloves cover most of the arms, allowing the character's gestures to have a tighter interaction with the clothing when posing, making the overall atmosphere more unified.

Regarding hair and makeup details, this time I paired it with dark purplish-red short hair. The flow of the bangs was trimmed to hang precisely on both sides of the eyes and cheeks, working with well-layered wisps to frame the face. The focus of the makeup was on the eyes, with a large area of red blending around the eye sockets to create the exhausted or melancholy air I desired. The green contact lenses formed a strong visual contrast with the dark hair color and the white wedding dress, making the gaze appear more agile and prominent in the frame. The entire makeup did not feature overly complex color stacking; maintaining clarity instead fit this type of look that requires an atmospheric feel much better.

The scenes and lighting for this photoset also underwent different attempts. Figure 1 chose a darker indoor environment, focusing strong light on the figure to highlight the breathable feel of the lace and gauze. The floral setup and display racks in the back serve as foregrounds in the shadows, which also helps silhouette the figure. Figure 2 utilized a warm, soft light lamp on the left. This gentle condensed light makes the skin texture appear more natural, and paired with the action of the figure's hands clasped together, creates an almost private, static sense of conversation. Figure 3 placed the figure against a pure black background, paired with a large scattering of white dot-like star light sources to form a scattering visual effect through the veil. This dreamlike sensation perfectly fits the escape feel mentioned in the title.

When shooting this type of custom bridal design look, it heavily tests the grasp of the character's core traits. Although the costume setup has changed, using expressions and subtle hand movements to retain the impression the original work gave me is where heart needs to be put. When guiding postures, I repeatedly reminded myself to pay attention to the coordination of the jawline and shoulders to avoid any stiffness, making the entire photoset look like a genuinely existing moment rather than deliberate posing. Although this look won't appear in the original work, this derivative presentation filled with the creator's subjective feelings is, in my opinion, precisely where the charm of cosplay lies.

Overall, this set of photos carries the softer side of the character through the tangible form of a wedding dress. Whether it's the mood-oriented dark lighting or the dreamlike starry background, everything tries to restore that feeling of a "wife" under a custom bridal design context. When making this setting, I also considered whether there would be a sense of mismatch, but the final presented images smoothly blend the texture of this lace wedding dress with the character's temperament, and as a creator involved in it, I am satisfied. Besides showcasing the costume, this shoot hopes more to convey that unique atmosphere belonging to the character under custom design parameters.
